:picard: I'm black American on both sides: SC (mom) and NC (dad). Raised in the North, but all my caretakers were born in the South.

My niece is half Bajan, but we even raised her up right (her mother is a mess, #passportbros in shambles :mjlol:).
Naw. Passport Bros is still a good idea. But it just depends on where you go

I recently discovered that the Caribbean were no different from American women. I thought it was just Miami. But a breh visiting from Belize said they emulate American women where he is at. So the negative influences has expanded

As Black men abroad seek communality, so it is with women. So it’s not surprising someone them have taken on certain traits.

Yeah. You're never going to escape it due to social media. But it's nothing like the US. The men will allow but so much.

The laws are way different in other countries. They only reason why American women talk so much shyt and do the most is because the police or some simp has their back. Not so much in a lot of other countries.

I was watching this podcast on you tube talking about how American black women are trying to copy black men and getting married in different countries. Well in Africa the men aren't having it so they are getting smacked in the mouth. Nothing they can do about it. Can't say I feel sorry for them because they have some vile disrespectful mouths.

You are a gem of a woman, hun.

And you are making a great point. Its not even a matter of catering to your man, but common decency and treating people how you would want to be treated. KS often spoke of the harshness and firmness of many (black) women and how its a huge hinderance to men because not only is it the opposite of what men look for in a woman but all of life is hard on men, especially black men, so to have to deal with all of that to make it in society and still have to come home to more harshness.... its just a bad deal for anyone who doesn't have to accept it.

I think the media and society promotes people to be more self absorbed than previous generations so when looking at people its always "what am I getting?" rather than "what do I offer?"

Also it doesn’t help that flamboyant gay men are giving dating advice and leading the charge on behavior of women today.

Like Kevin Samuel’s said it’s a bad deal.

That’s all true, for this reason you have my full support.

Been saying it for yearss now and I dont think people fully grasp how crazy and insidious it is but social media is THE most efficient propaganda distribution technology ever created. In no other time could a mentally ill person influence someone on other side of globe and there are TONS of mentalliy ill people with HUGE social media followings.

I seen it happen in real time in my travels, even prior to covid. From 2016-19 I was on road every other month domestic and abroad but when covid made everyone sit they ass down, shyt really took off crazy, tiktok with their algorithm took off in that time also, people wont realize it maybe til these lil kids in this generation grow up, this time period will have documentaries and such..

Yes. Most men are logical and can block out the BS. Women in general already have a child like mindset. So they are very impressionable.

It's crazy because when I was doing online. You were considered creepy. Now it's beyond popular

Whoa. You hit on a topic that has been widely over looked. There are millions of mentally ill people talking craziness influencing people.

There is a low class hood rat out there shaming men for have jobs. She admittedly said she got 2k bodies. But advising women now to get with men who work regular jobs

I hear that hot shyt, that's my way. I approached him in my relationship. And I'm dope, but he's definitely the prize.

I wonder if this is a potentially recognizable subset of high achieving bw? :jbhmm:

@Gloxina?
Here’s the thing— I don’t think anyone is turning their nose up at her hollering at him first. That does happen, and it does work out. 🤷🏾‍♀️

It just sounded like he was putting too much on it in the interview. Maybe it just came across wrong because before that podcast appearance everyone legit just thought they were a cute couple and never thought about them again 🤷🏾‍♀️

The podcast hosts reaction during that entire interview said it all for me. It wasn’t the way they got together, it was how he described it. The men in the room caught it and they were clowning him in his face. Even when Ryan was comparing his own career and pitfalls to that of Owens. Them dudes were shytting on that young man and he couldn’t quite pivot/steer the convo after their comments.

Again- forget any of the commentary and watch how the men on the podcast interviewed and treated him. That said it all.

But like I also said- at the end of the day, they are a young, beautiful black couple. Be fruitful and multiply. And stay off the damn podcasts. Cuz this wouldn’t have happened in an interview with a real journalist.

I don’t think they ever had foreseen this type of atrocity, where mentally ill could hold so much power and influence.

Idk they probably look at it like a feature and not a bug tho.. :patrice:They literally only care about how sticky their app is and what they have to do to keep you there. As long as there is no liability they give zero fukks what keeps you there. And believe me they are fully aware of consequences and repercussions because how many execs from steve jobs to facebook execs all banned their kids from ipads and apps while hiring talent to keep people on app by any means..

Some people started to use these platforms for different purposes. Do you remember Oxford Analytica and the hearings?

I was chilling with one of my homegirls from the block. Her and her man had just pulled up and I was happy to see her. Her man did all the necessary daps and was ready to go in the house. She was not. When I said, "That man going upstairs, go attend to him," she was on some 'fukk that nikka, Ill go upstairs when I want to.' Now, this man is a good man. Works everyday and comes right home. Gave her several more babies and a super involved dad. Yay, right?

No. She'd rather stunt for her single friends. I'm the only one who told her, "Take your black ass upstairs and take care of that man, he deserves it!"

She went.

There honestly aren't enough married black women to make the case. I'm the raisin in the tradwife oatmeal on many occasions, and not because I want to be. Black men need to be marrying black women at a higher rate and instilling this thought pattern.

Thank you. Online, women very much don't like it, putting me in the weird position of needing non-sexual male validation just to get any social validation at all.

Irl, there was a sizable contingent of big ol bottle-y built bytches who hated me growing up but, seeing my relationship success as an adult, have since changed their tunes. They now come to me for advice. It helps that all the girls close to me from the block ended up legit married (unheard of in my generation) or in good, stable ltr's.

I was specifically speaking to a subset of bw who are willing to hunt a man because he is the prize, and ain't ashamed to say it.

Do young women not feel this impulse? Are they unwilling to admit that the man can be a prize, even when he's 'lesser than' economically? Because there are different criteria for men and women?

If women in spaces like Lipstick Alley hear this, they will hunt you down. They will go for that neck.

And at the moment I am listening to Lashid4U. She’s right about a lot she’s saying, about the agents of chaos, people with records etc. Although she drifts off about a lot.

(But it’s weird how someone can sit there for hours talking to a screen).
