Last night's monologue was very dope. He spoke on it briefly in the past an it really stood out to me so it was nice to hear him speak more about the idea.

Ideally I'd like to be in that position to employ my woman and am working towards it.

Some people here know I work overseas in the Middle East. My girl (non-American) lost her job back in May and for the most part we're doing just fine. Yeah I lost some disposable money but the trade off was worth it for the most part. However she is about to get another job as you need a work visa to stay in the country.

That said, I'm in the early stages of getting my start up up an running. In December I'll be in a position to tell if it'll be something viable where I can leave the corporate life to run it full time. Ideally I'll put my girl (fiancée if we keep it up) to work in due time.

I aint nowhere near that. I think the regular people version is the wife working a job 2-3 days a week instead of 5. That's what I'm shooting for.

A black couple at my church has this arrangement. He was a doctor, she retrained herself for medical coding billing, etc. Their children worked as his assistants until he merged with a hospital and had to let them go.

A black prof used his wife as his personal assistant to combine his work/life balance.

It’s a doable thing, but you gotta find a partner who you trust enough to communicate on your behalf.

I know a woman who's $11,000 in credit card debt. Broke down one night on the phone and told me. I was like, sounds like you need to see a financial expert. No way in hell was I touching or getting anywhere near that mess. Anywho, she told me she went through a period where she would get a credit card and max it out immediately.

So I'm playing naive like, oh was it a medical emergency? Nope. She would get a card and fill it up immediately with shopping. Next card came in, maxed by the end of the week. She told me that's just what she thought people did with credit cards. I've never heard of wild behavior like that before in my life.

But she has daddy issues / issues with men. But the other (26 yo) was super open to it. She was like

“I’m tired of working, I would love that. If my husband made 140-160k, and broke me off like 30-40K, I’d be satisfied and find a way to flip it. I’ll take less stress any day”

I aint nowhere near that. I think the regular people version is the wife working a job 2-3 days a week instead of 5. That's what I'm shooting for.

That’s the reality for most women & the women today ESPECIALLY want to work. Atleast part time. Not to be dependent, but to just stay busy.

Thats what they’re taught by their mothers & other female relatives.

“Spend his money and make sure you have a stash cause they’ll trade you in for a newer model, you gotta protect yourself”

Stash (Girls trip, drinks, dinners w girls, shopping, etc.)

So now when divorce happens, she gets her cut + any additional asset + she still has her emergency stash.

Exactly. You get 2 WFH jobs, maybe 70K ea or 1 is 80 & the other is 70+ you good.

Give her a cut of that salary, not only for her, but to transfer into brokerage / investment accounts, maintain the house, seek additional opportunities etc.

Women ain’t tryna work like that lol. Only the bare minimum. That check to check lifestyle ain’t it. Gotta let the man lead & guide the relationship. That’s why it’s so important for a guy to be on his shyt, before he gets out here. Have a much leverage as possible.

that’s a pretty solid schedule to have for your wife. Have those extra 2-3 days dedicated to assisting your career, tending to the household, or finding things she’s interested in and keeping herself valuable to you.

It’s a doable thing, but you gotta find a partner who you trust enough to communicate on your behalf.

It is definitely a position that we as men should strive for. It shows you are dead set on building from the ground up with your woman, allows you to express your dominance in another fashion and direct her to where she needs to be, and it allows for the family unit to be closer (no work distractions, no overtime drama which bleeds into absence at home, reduced stress from outside influences)

Just like KS said, a woman SHOULD be gunning for that. That should be your endgame with a man you want to have children with and start a legacy with.

She went on some word salad rant about "being on my own...." and "I been grown since I was 14..."

Which basically says to me, "I got it all figured out I don't need no man"
