I know Kevin doing it for the views, and I really can't hate on him for trying to keep his numbers up :manny:.....

But I gave that interview with Britney Renner a chance, in fact I tried to watch it 4 different times...got to like 17 minutes and had to bush it.
I ain't trying to listen to no Britney Renner talking about her "brand" and where she wanna go, her "career" , talking about her "image" ..........man come on.

This woman is a self-professed thot who for years tried to trap an athlete and finally got one. All of a sudden Kevin interviewing her like she on the Charlie Rose show, like she on Inside the Actor's Studio, man get out of here with this trash.

That Moynihan Report is brutal :picard:

(1965) The Moynihan Report: The Negro Family, the Case for National Action • (blackpast.org)

KS needs to break this down even further if so. This is a segment by itself along with Women's Rights Movement.

Our black women chose welfare over their men, men were getting jobs and welfare assistance rose :picard:

BGS ibmor spent a yr breaking it down. He pretty much prepped Kev on that talking point

The Black Family in the Age of Mass Incarceration

T.Coates offered a re-reading of it. He makes a valid claim that Moynihan himself actually grew up in a shytty household and rather than he researching white trash, he lied on black folks.

By his own lights, Daniel Patrick Moynihan, ambassador, senator, sociologist, and itinerant American intellectual, was the product of a broken home and a pathological family. He was born in 1927 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but raised mostly in New York City. When Moynihan was 10 years old, his father, John, left the family, plunging it into poverty. Moynihan’s mother, Margaret, remarried, had another child, divorced, moved to Indiana to stay with relatives, then returned to New York, where she worked as a nurse. Moynihan’s childhood—a tangle of poverty, remarriage, relocation, and single motherhood—contrasted starkly with the idyllic American family life he would later extol.

I don’t trust white folks who study black people.

I've never heard of the report and the breakdown of our situation. I watch KS but he brings up things that make you think or want to research to understand why we are in this climate. Where all of this shyt started from. That report is worth reading and understanding and it needs to be brought to our attention for clarity on why things shaped up to how they are now so that we won't repeat the same steps.

Reading the report took me back to the interview on last year where Ice Cube was being interviewed by Lisa Raye, Claudia Jordan and 2 more other black women, Cube was talking about his plan of action and those black women sat up there and was trying to tear it down and then one or maybe all of them interjected something about have something "special set aside for black women" as if both black men and women don't need the exact same things.
Black women wanting to be given special treatment, set asides for just them? :gucci: Like Really?

We are both at the bottom in this climate but you want to be ahead of us still:picard:

We need to get off that, and I can imagine how things were back then. Of course marriages still happen within our community but to read that report and see what all took place within our women :picard:

I was recently trying to finish reading this whole report. There is some things in it that will make you question where they got their stats and if they are accurate (the low amount of Black men able to pass some of the tests for the military) but there is some deep stuff in there as well.

What stood out to me is how the report broke down how the Black community in America was designed to be a Matriarchy and the difficult situation Black men are in trying to compete and survive in a system that is a Patriarchy with somewhat rigid gender roles. I post some quotes in a few.
