I actually don't like all these AEW signings, assuming they get him.

Aews had the better show than WWE to me since Dynamite began not because their roster is better (until recently WWE had the better roster and they still might), but because they were doing 2 hour shows once a week that were fast paced, felt fresh, had focused storylines, and everybody on the card had an identity. Now you can see they're getting to have too many guys on the roster to use well.

I just want a good wrestling show 2 hrs a week and 4 PPVs a year. I don't want to see them get to the point where they're mostly just throwing "good" wrestlers out there doing random sh1t and expect it to work because everybody involved is good.
I'm worried about the guys that have been there since the beginning. Guys like Private Party, Swole, Ricky Starks, Will Hobbs, Adam Page, Scorpio, etc. Having guys like Jericho, Cody, Omega, Bucks, etc around to give the company credibility is cool but all these WWE guys coming is pushing the originals further down the card.

Seems like the only part of AEW that is mostly WWE free is the women's division.

Marks will say “khan is a billionaire he can spend all he wants and not worry about anything” .. completely disregarding a business has to turn a profit regardless. He has admitted they are in the hole financially. Only an idiot would wanna keep operating at a loss.

The Khans don't make their money off of AEW though. The fed stinks but it's just part of their larger portfolio :yeshrug:

Capsule Corp
KO, Sami, Gargano, Ciampa, Ricochet and Finn Balor will all likely end up in AEW
After watching NXT last night im gonna add KOR and Roddy to this list too
This is all triple h's fault for raiding the indies for smark clout, now they all 1 by 1 migrating to aew because it's more of their natural habitat :mjpls:
Another reason as to why theyre changing their recruitment process to non-indy dudes and D1 athletes

Still doesn't make AEW immune from being sold or having whole sale changes down the road (like NXT) if they don't churn out a profit. Even Disney eventually pulled the plug on the majority of their money-losing pet, side projects and they got even longer money than the Khan's do.

Here's the thing though.... Owens is one guy that really don't have any complaints or shouldn't. Maybe he'd rather just be with some of his old buddies but creative has not failed him..

He reached the level or arguably higher in WWE of what he's worth. Salute to anyone who wanna try something different career wise tho

Also very family oriented so might just wanna be home more.

I'll have to disagree. The NXT Owens that we watched wrestle was not the same Owens on Raw or SD, and it can be said about his watered down character too. He had a very disappointing title reign, and lost to old berg in 3 minutes. IMO he never recovered after that. The only glimpsed of the crazy prize fighter KO we got was the lead up to the match vs Shane at WM. You can make the argument that KO has had a disappointing career in WWE.

But that's my opinion:hubie:

And his run in AEW won't be better considering that there will be guys ahead of him at the top of the company.

It depends - they already own American football and soccer teams. And soccer teams are well-known for being money-pits (there's a great book called Soccernomics explaining all that) so they've shown a history of this type of business. We'll see

Eventually, they'll get tired of it being a money pit and offload it to move on to the next venture. That's how businesses operate. You give it a few years to try and turn a business into a profitable on and either sell or move on to the next project if it doesn't work out.

I get you. What I should have made clearer is that I don't think it's just about the money. If it was, you wouldn't be investing in American Football, soccer or wrestling. I'm getting the vibe that it's not about making cash here

Yea, until the last couple months they had a good balance of recognizable, established stars and fresh new wrestlers. Now it's overwhelming how many ex-WWE guys they have, even if they're mostly good. I understand you basically have to get Punk and Bryan, but Malakai Black, Andrade, Christian, Kevin Owen's, Adam Cole. Big Show, they could go without those guys.

It's really only a matter of time before these rumors start circulating of talent get frustrated over their lack of use/TV time.

I'm surprised that rumors haven't already started coming out now. You got WWE wrestlers complaining on Twitter about their screentime, yet cats think that issue won't happen in AEW. At some point, they're also going to have to trim the fat that as well and get rid of some of those people on the roster or you'll run into the same problem that WWE is in now.

AEW became profitable in 3 months with the $175 million extension. They were originally looking at profitability in 2 years. TNA drew 3500 for a Sting Hogan main event in Philly. This is not TNA
