I'm surprised that rumors haven't already started coming out now. You got WWE wrestlers complaining on Twitter about their screentime, yet cats think that issue won't happen in AEW. At some point, they're also going to have to trim the fat that as well and get rid of some of those people on the roster or you'll run into the same problem that WWE is in now.

I fully believe Tony will grant release requests when he gets them

I get you. What I should have made clearer is that I don't think it's just about the money. If it was, you wouldn't be investing in American Football, soccer or wrestling. I'm getting the vibe that it's not about making cash here

Owning an NFL team is a lucrative business and comes along with it's own set of tax breaks. Couple that with the fact that franchise values are steadily rising, then it's perfectly reasonable to see why everyone wants in on owning a team. Don't believe me? In 10 years since he's purchased the Jaguars, the franchise value has jumped by $1.5 billion dollars.

He's not out here owning businesses just for the hell of it.

AEW became profitable in 3 months with the $175 million extension. They were originally looking at profitability in 2 years. TNA drew 3500 for a Sting Hogan main event in Philly. This is not TNA

Surely you don't believe that right? With all of the expenses that they have coming in :laff:

Don't forget that they are currently creating a video game with an eight figure investment that's definitely going to put them in the red as video games aren't cheap to produce and create.

You've explained American Football's financial viability. Now do the same for soccer - that one is harder to explain

I've already explained. If it's a money pit and losing venture, then it's only a matter of time before he pulls the plug and moves on to the next venture. That's how businesses operate. These billionaires didn't get to where they are now by staying in money pit projects. It's business 101 of what you don't do. Look at what's going on with Disney right now if you don't believe me and they have wayyyyyy longer bread than the Khans do.

You're in the business of making a profit, not losing money.

No business gets any financial success by throwing money away, as we know - from the smallest up. That's why I said it's more than traditional business. They've already got big money. The Khans want these public-facing ventures even if it doesn't make them a profit all the time. They bought Fulham - a team that's been pissing cash away for years.. and still does even after they took over -- but now they've got UK visibility. Why would AEW be any different? The Khans aren't Disney. Tony is known now and it'll take a lot of lost profit for them to throw the towel in.

We're coming at this from opposing views but I want to see how it all pans out :ehh:

Edit - Back on topic.. Kevin Steen is FAT

He's better off staying where he's at. That jumping ship to AEW isn't going to work out for everyone and a lot of them will end up just as disgruntled there as they were in their previous destination.

Letting them work in the indies is cool and all, but let one of their top talent get injured doing so and watch how fast their tune changes.

In 2023 they negotiate a new tv deal and negotiations will start at double

Going to? Andrade and FTR already fed up lol. There has to be dozens more that feel the same way.
I don't blame them. Some of the ex-WWE guys weren't shyt when they were in the WWE (whether it's their fault or not) and are past their prime. It's not worth throwing money at dudes who trying to get an easy paycheck.
