We just need an understanding and agreement with how to react to events that impact us socially and economically, and what needs to be known before we categorize something as racist

That’s exactly not what staying on code is. It means aligning our ideals, values and standards as a collective voice and mentality in reference to ANY racist actions or sentiments. Whether it affects us socially, financially or personally. It’s really not that hard to categorize or define racist behavior /activities. Racism is racism - It’s a very broad category and description.

But we would still need to agree on what act is deemed racist. A bathroom for paying customers policy is not innately racist
Like I mentioned in the other thread, I've seen a Black owned barbershop with the same policy and got turned down by a black manager at a restaurant to use the bathroom cause I wasn't a paying customer

Boycott Starbucks by replacing them with black coffee shops whenever possible :yeshrug:

I get what Kevin is saying in the macro sense. That a multi national corporation like Starbucks cannot be held responsible for the actions of one employee. However, they can be held responsible for their response, or lack there of, to the action of said employee. And so far, they've seemed to come up short. For which, they're rightfully being clowned.

Either way, this sounds like a :whoa: from Kevin that transformed into a

Peace

There's black coffee shops around. They may be less numerous and take more of an effort to patronize, but they're there :yeshrug:

In my area of Philadelphia, there's Little Jimmie's Bakery Shop. They serve coffee and great pastries :yeshrug:

I know there's others in other cities :yeshrug:

Buy Black or don't :yeshrug:

I don't like Kevin hart. But black people too reactionary. Too many announcements/declarations and not enough follow through. Supporting black business should become normal, not something you need to shame people for doing.

Shame on Starbucks.

The 215
to establish a code doesn't mean we have to agree on everything. Especially not the mundane or trivial stuff, like what you eat OR sexual orientation...that's your peronsal choice
We just need an understanding and agreement with how to react to events that impact us socially and economically, and what needs to be known before we categorize something as racist
I hear you but we still not going to agree on that stuff you're talking about either. That's life no matter how some on here try to shame others into their thinking. We all come from different backgrounds, how we were raised, etc that shapes are views on things. I think most times we will mainly agree but it's always going to be differences however slightly even on those things you mentioned in your second paragraph.

I understand the reality that Black folks will have different backgrounds and experiences, so that's where facts/truth are used to suppress any differences in backgrounds/experiences/personal bias/agendas/misunderstandings

For instance..
-no matter what country you're in, race/religion/tax bracket, if you control the media, you will control how people think
-there're clear goals of white supremacist and there are identifiable tactics they use to achieve those goals

Any Black person that claims to dislike white supremacy and wants to combat it, should consistently apply the practical solutions to counter the white supremacist tactics of media/social conditioning. Which is to strive to be an informed citizen, no blind loyalty to any political party, and is actively challenging any positive/negative imagery/narratives about Blackfolks

When the individual chooses not to, despite knowing the facts, then that's a personal decision and that person shouldn't be involved with any convo/decisions/plannings that pertains to countering white supremacy because they made an informed decision. So they should stay in their lane and not try to undermine those who are about that life
