Edit:^^^^ We had the same post at the same time :wow:

Billionaires arent impressed by millionaires. Same way the higher ups in the fashion world didnt take Kanye seriously.

You are naive if you dont think a billionaire like Lacob, doesnt have connections that KD would dream of.

Durant isn't just a "millionaire", he's a superstar athlete. These billionaire types are just as star struck by them as we are. And the comparison to Kanye is off. KD is investing his money in different start-ups, you don't have to be "impressed" with someone to take their money. Everything he's doing he could've done from OKC and he damn sure could've done it without cutting Lacob a break on his salary.

You think LeBron is making connections through Dan Gilbert?:mjlol: You think a world famous athlete looking to invest his money like Durant couldn't make connections without Lacob?:rudy:

A big reason Iggy came to the Warriors was specifically for the Silicon Valley opportunities.

How Golden State Warrior Andre Iguodala Became The NBA’s Ambassador To Silicon Valley

You are a Cavs fan so im not going to waste my time in a back and forth session with someone that I know is going to be willfully obtuse.

Iggy is not Durant bruh. Not as wealthy, not as famous. Durant has a $500 million dollar shoe deal and you think Lacob was his"in" to Silicone valley.:usure: I'm a Knicks fan, but do you.:yeshrug:

You're just missing the point on purpose. It simply doesn't work the way you are implying. Connections are necessary period in the business world, and they just don't come around cause you're a superstar athlete. Even billionaires need connections sometimes. The Kanye example is on point cause Ye was trying to use his celebrity as a way to leverage his way into the fashion industry and they shunned him. You're implying KD could just muscle his way through the tech industry cause he a superstar and they would be in awe and bend over for him. Don't work like that. Lacob has his hands in a lot of ventures and it's nothing for him to put KD around some of those same people. I mean there is a reason KD and his team asked for the intro into the Silicon Valley world. If it was as easy as you claimed he wouldn't have to ask.

Yo now that dude got his ring I really wish nothin but the worst for this nikka, professionally, not in his personal life but on the basketball court I hope dude gets a career-ending injury 12 seconds into the HOU game.

Not only will it make the NBA more fun but this level off bytchassness doesn't need to continuously be reported on & displayed to the world on a daily basis.

It's interesting how this extreme sensitivity to outside criticism doesn't seem to impact his performance on the floor. If anything it's made him better over the years

From that Mr unreliable headline, returning to OKC where you figured he'd be rattled by the hostile environment, facing the guy he idolizes in the Finals with the world rooting against him and shredding the matchup in historic fashion. Looking forward to how he responds to all this throughout the season

LeBron James hosts Warren Buffett in Cleveland, calls him ‘Uncle Warren’

I'm not saying connections are unnecessary, it's just not the same for people like you and me. I'm not getting in a room with Warren Buffet without a real tight connection. LeBron can do it with a phone call. Just knowing that someone of KD's stature is looking to invest is going to open just about every door there is, especially from start-ups looking for investors.

The Kanye example is off because KD isn't trying to start a new Microsoft. He's investing HIS money in OTHER ventures. Kanye would be comparable to Lonzo and Lavar as their trying to compete with the big dogs. Very different from what Durant is doing with his investing at least at this point.

Don't work like that. Lacob has his hands in a lot of ventures and it's nothing for him to put KD around some of those same people. I mean there is a reason KD and his team asked for the intro into the Silicon Valley world. If it was as easy as you claimed he wouldn't have to ask.
Introductions are fine, but KD and his team could've done it on their own. Instead they trusted Lacob to put them in touch with people. Which is fine, but it wasn't "necessary" and Lacob would've still been inclined to do if KD hit him for the max.

If you told me Kevin Durant was making alt accounts to defend himself on social media from random strangers I'd guess he's distracted from the task at hand and it'd affect his performance in some way.

sorry but everything kd accomplishes after he joined the warriors has an * next to it.

leaving okc to join gs will always be a decision he second guesses no matter how many titles or accolades he gets. he just isn't mentally strong enough to not gaf. :francis:
