Nets in a pickle. When you really look at it, KD's trade value's not so steep.Age & durability issues...I'm not expecting a king's ransom.People lol'd at the Suns Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, and 4 first rd picks scenario;but I can see him going for something like that.

Nah that still doesn’t make sense. The logical move would be let Kyrie play the seaon out then you have a whole max contract slot to play with in a sign and trade. Plus KD on 3 years left, knowing his quiet ass ain’t gon do shyt but suit up and ‘hOoP’

I say sign and trade bc, something people often forget: there’s no good teams with cap space anymore. So there would be no team with space to outright sign Kyrie for nothing—-just like this year. So BK wouldn’t have to worry about losing him for nothing.

And smfh @ just play out the year’ as if they didn’t/don’t have the 2nd highest odds to win it all

You believe whatever you want to believe my nikka …ain’t no point in even arguing with nikkas that have already bought into the media narrative

This was on the 27th of June …Durant didn’t request a trade until the 30th … the Nets already made their minds up back when Marks went on that post Boston series rant ..all the other spin that the media members are putting on this shyt is just that :francis:

firstly, the players sign to the owner’s org who then cuts the check, yes, orgs control the relationship, deal with it, that’s life. Secondly, one can be against both teams signing players to LT deals just to deal them a year later AND see the issues with players playing GM.
Just like the owners “sign” for the players services …thats the exchange money for service but that shyt don’t mean anything long term …that precedent has already been established both ways … they clearly don’t control much if anything at all when it comes to these superstars seeking a divorce … only old ass nikkas and faux “traditionalist” haven’t found a way to deal with it because it’s life …these players clearly don’t give a damn about how it was “back in your day” :dead:

Yall nikkas need to stop with that
When owners can trade nikkas at any time just like that :manny:
These silly ass nikkas have no problem with the hypocrisy because they’re trained to be obedient at their own 9-5’s …they would never dare to disobey “boss” that’s why the players being able to exert power is such a foreign concept

NBA says it’s four rings. So it’s four rings. :umad:

Funny how a warriors fan is downplaying championships as if you team didn’t add a top 3 player to beat LeBron :dead: you should be thanking KD for giving your team two easy “rings” they cake-walked to.

Dusty ass hoe go drink some Bay Area flavored bleach.

:gucci:HE HAD A PRIVATE MEETING
WITH THAT MAN...

ITS NOBODYS BUSINESS
WHAT WAS SAID IN THAT MEETING.

I'm not letting you do that. The majority of NBA discourse since Bron left for South Beach has been about what's been said in a private meeting.

The question was if you thought the ultimatum makes him look bad. At what point is Tsai allowed to push back? They gave that man his choice of coach, paid all his homies, let Kyrie style on all of them by showing up on zooms and dancing with his sister, traded all they assets for Harden, took on Simmons to trade Harden away, still tried to extend Kyrie to keep him happy, and his response was to tell the owner to fire the coach and GM with a straight face?

You KNEW we was gonna hear about that request.

who are you posting this to? i've been vocal about how fukked up it is for a player to commit in good faith to a team only to be dealt a year later, but like my post says, being against that doesn't mean you also can't be against players doing the same and/or making themselves GM. i think the next CBA there needs to be agreement that neither management or players can seek trades on max deals until after year 1 or 2...both sides need to be true to their word and give the team some time to see how the signing is playing out.

but at the end of the day, as i said, teams do have the leverage as no deal gets made in any of these instances without GM's/front offices signing off. you can feel how you want about that :manny: it's reality

I've officially lost all respect for KD. This is the team hewanted (minus Harden who was a disaster), and the coach he wanted. A team that hasn't even played a third of a season together. Nah.
Why so people keep saying this inaccurate shyt? Kevin Durant never wanted Nash. That was ALL Marks hiring his best friend. You really let them spin this shyt. KD specifically said Tyron Lue. And what do you mean the team he wanted? KD told them to sign a bunch of undersized guards and to not get anything back for Spencer? To reject bringing back Kuzma? To trade a first round pick for Royce O’Neal instead of just re-signing Bruce Brown who they didn’t even offer? What are you actually talking about? Marks has been ass as a GM for KD’s entire tenure and he started it off by hiring his friend Nash. I’d want out too.

i'm not complaining...the bubble was it's own thing, rings are rings, but if the rest of NBA fans can asterisk 4 rings, seems that logic can apply to them all...

and monkeypox is affecting you D/L ass men...i'm good over here

What bron do
Been low key running the league since Silver got installed. He been making power moves through Klutch. He been going from team to team giving ultimatums and they listen up until literally this off season in LA.

I'm not even trying to shade. Cleveland got a ship. Miami got multiple ships. LA got a ship. That shyt is impressive to me, but the owners are not going to let Bron style control happen again because the other folks trying to follow that same path ain't giving the same ROI.

I don’t think Marks has done a great job, and Nash is his fault as well so I’d get rid of them inept crackers
But Tsai is in a tough position cause he can’t keep capitulating to KD without any return and now that it’s public he’ll look weak if he does it
It’s over
