Kawhi got a whole ass chip as the guy lol. There's an argument there.
Kawhi didn't string together a long enough prime to make this a serious conversation. Durant's prime was twice as long, won a league MVP, won two championships as a team's best player, is a central figure of a dynasty...

In a vacuum Kawhi may actually be the better basketball player, but he just didn't sustain this over the duration of his career...

Lol unwatchable

You just didn’t like the end result. Good basketball was being played. Just like it’s being played now

Good basketball because tons of teams have a chance to win. Batting injuries no one was beating prime KD, Steph, Klay , Dray n Iggy etc. it was lame

He's been miserable every stop in his career. At some point you gotta look in the mirror.
Exactly

At some point it’s not these teams it’s him. He had the perfect situation and left and his create a team in Brooklyn was a colossal failure. But this suns team not only underachieved but they were never the favorites to make it out the west.

Feel bad for breh, he doesn't even have a home. He's basically a HOF journeyman.
Every star player of his era besides Steph has played on multiple teams. I look at OKC as his primary team; he was drafted there, spent the most time there (9 years), franchise has seen its most success to date with him there, won his MVP there...

And GS as his secondary home, he had his most success there...

I don't view him really as a Net or a Sun...

KD going to them and pushing them to two straight rings and a 3rd trip to the finals gave them the confidence to win that 4th. No way they bounce back from that choke job had they not got the second best player in the league at the time to match up with Bron. And them getting KD meant no mentions of that choke job since him going there pushed them into automatic win status. No KD means a full season of everyone bringing that up. Also no KD means Dray and Klay aren’t HOFers.

Kyrie outplayed curry and they would have had no one to match Bron without KD. And the one ring they won, 2 of the 3 best players on the other team didn’t play. You can’t downplay KDs contributions because of the 4th ring when they got the confidence to win that based of KD helping them win the previous 2
KD had nothing to do with that 4th. :mjlol:

Confidence to win? They already won one before KD, and it took a Draymond suspension to keep them from winning in 2016.
Golden State was up 3-1 in that series. Ppl are no trying to retconn that series into a dogfight, when it was almost guaruanteed the series was all but over prior to the Draymond suspension. They won 73 games without KD, and Steph was a league MVP, who would've won Finals MVP in 2016.

KD has done nothing before or after. Don't give KD credit for GS winning in 2022, when we've seent them win a title before KD got there. :mjlol:

Central figurehead of a dynasty that won a title before and after him. Had golden state even been a 60 win team that lost in the semis or conference finals, then KD going there wouldn't be viewed as controversial as it was. They were literally 1 win away from back-to-back titles before KD got there. It's easy to be a central figurehead on a team that was already tailormade for your skillset, years before even joining. That's why KDs two rings won't be viewed as favorably as time goes on, as other multi ring superstars such as a Kawhi. KDs legacy will be hard to quantify, because so much of his career was lackluster and underachieving while actually being surrounded by GREAT talent. We've never really seen a KD "carry job". Or anything close to it. He's always had talent around him. And he's either did what was supposed to be done given who he was surrounded by(the GS titles) or underachieved below given expectations (Brooklyn, Phx). A strange legacy. I can't even say he's overrated, because he doesn't really have stans. But there was a time where it was almost inevitable that KD would be considered top 15-19 all time. Now? This is not as concrete and teflon as it once was. Fringe top 25 in my book.

Get this bullshyt the fukk outta here :mjlol:

You may have a point if Draymond and Klay balled during that playoff run. It was Steph, Poole, and Weed (2 players that werent on those championship teams) that carried nikkas to that ring.

I don't blame him for leaving GS.

Imagine you've got a guy like Draymond Green who begged you to play with him but 2 Championships and Finals MVPs later that same player who wouldve been a Rudy Gobert caliber player AT BEST if he'd been drafted somewhere else is calling you a bxtch in the locker room.

What top 10 player in the league (at the time) is dealing with that shxt besides Steph? What coach is letting a player do that besides Kerr?

He goes to Brooklyn with Kyrie but he gets injured and he realizes Kyrie is a basket case who is an all time great Robin but has never been anything close to a Batman.

Some of yall Coli Brehs will leave your call center job because you didn't get a raise, but KD should've stayed in a toxic ass GSW locker room where an unhinged C caliber player is allowed to berate a top 75 player on a regular basis.

Okay.
Draymond only pulled that bullshyt because he knew had KD stayed it would’ve fukked up his bag… Same shyt he pulled with Poole…
