Bron fans love saying that bull. That shyt was more a team defensive scheme and other factors than just "cause Bron

Rose was our only offense weapon. It was easy for Heat to plan a defensive plan to stop us, as Rose was the offense

Plus Boozer was trash

And Bosh was killing us

If it was so easy for the Heat to stop Rose, then why didn't everyone else do it all season?

Ya'all had Rose, Deng, Boozer, Korver...it wasn't like you had nobody on offense. It wasn't the best offense and you sacrificed some of your offense for defense, but it wasn't like you had nobody.

To be fair, very few players are ever actually truly lock down defenders. Even guys like Chris Paul still get WORKED by the likes of Stephen curry.

Even Michael Jordan never actually guarded his oppenents best player (Larry bird, Isiah thomas, etc)

Wtf ...

Joe dumars dispels this bullshyt.
Stop it.
Jordan = the original glove

I've never heard a competent person that knows basketball say Pippen wasn't a lockdown defender. The fact that you even said this is appalling. Who guarded the best players on opposing teams when the Bulls won their 6 championships? You think Pippen averged almost 3 steals per game by just getting deflections and not on ball defense? He could guard 1-4 easily

As someone old enough to watch Pip in his prime, he was a savant on defense

MJ defended his position but Pip defended , 3 & smaller 4s w/ ease

The only player Pip couldn’t check was Grant Hill

Being a lockdown defender requires a willingness to defend the greats night in & night out...

GP relished that, Pippen relished that, Bruce Bowen, etc...

But hw much do they average (points)

Lebron in the playoff defend almost as good as them and average 28.4 pts

Bron and MJ played on both side , im talkin playoff

Of course sometimes they need a good defender on the team to take some pressure of them cuz they gotta score

The difference between me and you is I actually watched pippen play. You didn't cuz you're saying stupid shyt like this

Now answer the question. Name some perimeter players "the greatest perimeter defender ever" locked down. You still haven't answered

Pippen did not guard the other teams best player all the time either,Jordan guarded drexler in the '92 finals. You're just regurgitating what the media told you like a sheep

Usually it takes decades and no video for tall tales to be told about athletes.

With LeBron, people tell his tall tales as they happen. My favorite LeBron tall tale was that he could guard all five positions.

The Heat defense was designed to stop Rose in 2011, and Rose was their only ball handler and offensive weapon but some how LeBron stopped him on his own.

This of course ignores that Jason Terry and JJ Barea gave Bron that work in the finals.

There’s a diff in defending Harrison Barnes and KD...that’s why LBJ got exposed last year in the finals

LBJ has never been an overall elite defender...he was good for a cpl yrs in Miami but never really a top 5 defender

LBJ has bad lateral movement, his hips are stiff which is why he’s a North/South player. You need flexibility & great lateral movement to be a great on ball defender.
