It's not about rings. It's the fact LeBron James won rookie of the year when Melo had the better rookie season. The whole hyping LeBron is only 19, when Carmelo was 19 as well. Carmelo led his team to the playoffs. As did Dwyane Wade.. The argument that LeBron never had helped when he LeBron has had many playoff series where he shot like shyt but his team still won. Including that one year they went to the finals and got murdered by the Spurs. He formed 3 super teams and every player is diminished to prop him up.
what series u talking about?

I don't respect any list that doesn't have Kobe top 5. At worst 5th is the lowest I can see him ranked.

1. MJ
2. KAJ
next 3 is Magic, Kobe, Duncan in whichever order you prefer then Bird at 6.

7-10 is 4 out of the listed 5
Wilt, Russell, Shaq, LeBron, Hakeem

Bron can jump Bird if he wins a ring in LA
I don’t respect any list that got lebron out the top 5. Lebron and Kobe is in my top 5 btw

I hesitate thinking Kobe’s not to 25 atg is the worse opinion I’ve ever heard on this board because it’s so dumb it can’t be an opinion and has to be a troll. Kobe’s not top 15 is dumb but I can at least entertain the thought the persons dumb and not trolling.

nikka said Kobe aint top 25 :dead: thats so disrespectful you gotta laugh

Before he died, he didn't make a lot of posters here top 10 but now its a sin to even get him out the top 5.
RIP the great, and I think he a top 3 breh in terms of total impact on the game, but they used to have drop an essay worth of links to even feel emotionally content about the polls, every poster not a Kob stan, having him like 11-13th as a near consensus. I don't see what's wrong with the king being in that 9th-13th area man

Melo for sure had as strong of a case for ROY. Them's the breaks g, a bunch of awards in sports are 50/50 and the winner isn't always the most deserving...

LeBron has never had "many" series of poor shooting and in his '14 Finals to SA he was the best player on the floor by a mile. In his '07 loss to SA he didn't shoot well and they still were a basket away from winning one or both of the last two games...

I don't think he's had three super teams but that's just my opinion...

Stfu Melo didn’t have a better year at most they should have shared the award

And Melo and Wade were on better teams

And no LeBron doesn’t have many series he “shot like shyt”

TNT has the W.O.A.T. panel of analysts with Barkley, Shaq, and Kenny Smith they really carried by personality.

But we supposed to take ex players word as gospel :scust:

And keeping it reality, Chuck carries them other 2 bums.

Kenny isn’t liked enough to say outlandish shyt like this.

Melo had the better year.

Melo also played in a tougher conference.

He does. that whole magical 2007 season he didn't shoot better than 45% in a series.

Melo for sure had as strong of a case for ROY. Them's the breaks g, a bunch of awards in sports are 50/50 and the winner isn't always the most deserving...

Exactly. LeBron will always get the benefit in those scenarios.

That whole run in '07 he never shot above 45%, highest yet they went to the finals.

Of course not, because you have to diminish every other player to prop up LeBron James.

This is bad posting for too many reasons to name. I hope you have this same energy for all the other great wings and perimeter guys who had iconic moments during postseason runs they shot less than 45% (Mike, Magic, Larry, Kobe, Oscar, etc)...

LeBron didnt get the benefit of doubt because he was undeserving. Melo had a strong case, so did LeBron, it was a coin flip...

LeBron doesn't need "propping up", he's 17 years in at this point and his resume speaks for itself. Nobody is diminished in his favor...

Melo didn't have a better year and he wasn't the better player. 21/6/6>21/6/3. Melo was on the better organization playing on a more experienced roster with Andre Miller, Marcus Camby, Voshon Lenard and those guys. LeBron's Cavs had injuries (played 21 different guys) and he was playing with dikk heads like Ricky Davis and Darius Miles and cats was hating on him when he got drafted because they didn't want the teenager taking the spotlight.

U also tried to flip the age thing. Melo is 7 months older than LeBron and played college ball at Syracuse. LeBron was 18 for a few months that season and came straight out of high school. :camby:

He never shot above 45% in the '07 playoffs? Ok, nikka and? It's called being the lone offensive creator on a poor offensive squad. 25/8/8 and taking your team to the Finals at 22 with a legendary game en route is nothing to scoff at. Overall, LeBron is a 49% FG in the playoffs and has only had like 5-8 playoff series he wasn't efficient in.

People like to hold FGP against Kobe regardless of results, but they do not keep than same energy for Jordan or LeBron it's a clear bias

It most certainly was bias. Why was the narrative what this kid is doing at 19 is unbelievable? Carmelo was 19 as well, it doesn't matter if he went to Syracuse, he was still 19.

Everybody is diminished in LeBron's favor. LeBron shot 36% in 2008 against the Celts and went 7 games bu LeBron never had help. Dwyane Wadee was arguably the best player in the league, but LeBron teaming with him was ehh. LeBron lose without Kyrie and Kevin Love, he had no help. LeBron wins wit Kyrie and Kevin Love. LeBron James is unbelieavble he wn with nobody.
