I think AEW will maintain an "open" relationship with NJPW so they can do some cross-over events in the future, that's why Omega's leaving on good terms with kayfabe reasoning.

I wouldn't be surprised if they just straight up poach people from Impact. There's always interesting talent on the indies, you just need to know where to look.

Not working with NJPW also leaves them open to work with some of the other Japanese promotions like DDT, Dragon Gate, Big Japan or All Japan

Honestly, wouldn't be surprised if they worked with DDT since Kenny and Kota Ibushi came up from there
