Klay has declined athletically but I think he is still a solid player. He still makes key shots. I would ride with Klay and see where the team is at come January.
jackson, batum, hayward....What could you get for klay at this point?
maybe a gordon hayward
they also threw in a first, didn't get the best guard in the trade and all three of them were food in the postseason40 million expiring can get you a good haul.
That's how the Lakers got Dlo, Vando, Malik Beasley
Curry is not on the market...Why would they trade the best shooter in team history?
I said it in another thread. Give him a legacy contract that runs with Steph and Green. Pay him at Greens rate ( I think 20M a year). Let him know this is it, once this runs out you on the Haslem special like Green.Warriors still feel like they can win some more championships with Steph putting up 30 points per game, Klay has obviously lost a step due to injuries and mileage. I’m in the crowd of letting legends retiring with their team. I think Klay just needs to realize that for the betterment of the team he has to take on a lesser role and salary, he has made over $250 million in his career so money shouldn’t be an issue. He’s not going to get valued by other franchise like the warriors will.
Tough choice by the front office.
Klay is not gonna accept 20M a year.I said it in another thread. Give him a legacy contract that runs with Steph and Green. Pay him at Greens rate ( I think 20M a year). Let him know this is it, once this runs out you on the Haslem special like Green.
Too easy.
Specially when Khris Middleton just got 3 years at $31 million a year. Warriors definitely ain’t going for that and I think Klay ain’t going for what they’re willing to offer.Klay is not gonna accept 20M a year.
