Lakers were arguably the 2nd best team when they went to the WCF and just so happened to run into the best in the conference finals.
So yeah I do dispute that since he was a hobbled #2 on an incredibly flawed roster that was put together 70% of the way in the year.. and were very close

Well this is a team game, not a 2v2 game.. I know it’s hard for casuals to understand that.
However Lebron is BY FAR the best #2 in the NBA and it’s not close.
So if the Lakers put together a better team around both, then yeah they’d be contenders.
