Of course it is. Most Kendrick fans are turn-ups in denial. That's what makes the whole thing so pretentious. Y'all aint deep. We see it a mile away.

They pretend like K-Dot is this super deep lyricist and that all these other rappers are polluting the game with 'bytches' and typical topics. Yet Kendrick's whole career is built on typical topics, supplied with beats from Young Money and Hitboy, the same nikkas that influence turn up culture and pop culture in general.

I don't fukk with Drizzy, but at least his fans don't pretend like he's doing anything more than he's actually doing. He aint savin kittens and shyt.
You ever ran out of kleenex so you picked your nose and tried to wipe it on something but it keeps gluing back to your finger?

You are acting like that booger, breh. You seem like a cool poster, dont be like K-Rino. Make your own "Kendrick is overrated" thread, problem is have already have 100s of those

I make it a point not to pick my nose, but its been a cold ass winter up here. Sometimes a breh runs out of kleenex and has to take that plunge...if you cant relate to that struggle, then maybe you just have more self-control than I

Kendrick is becoming one of those names thats associated with certain viewpoints or opinions so its becoming impossible to have a rational un-emotional discussion about his music, because he's heralded at some sort of "real rap Messiah", or anti-baller....he's also a critic's darling so the backlash, while understandable, is getting ridiculous at this point.

We dont have enough actual MUSIC discussions on here. Everyone either has some racial agenda or arbitrary stance on what rappers should sound like/look like. This is an Album Discussion thread so anyone, fan or otherwise, who isnt talking about the album, is off-topic IMO

Yeah... the first listen it was through the laptop speakers with the little one running all around. Then i listened again and the little one kept trying to take my headphones off my head so i stopped it after 1min. I've listened to it twice and i'm really liking this track now but i guess it's because i can hear him channeling James Brown on "The Payback" and that's one of my favorite James Brown tracks.

for the cats that don't know what i'm talking about...[or that James Brown probably unofficially was the first Rapper]

And the irony about that is now Backseat Freestyle is one of the most popular songs he's performed over the past 2 years.

First song I thought of listening to King Kunta

Backseat Freestyle is one of his hypest performance songs he's performed at concert... they even used it for a movie trailer lol

Those small dikk fakkits were also trolling the wikipedia. Trall headquarters indeed.

its getting very strange that no matter the genre it is difficult for anyone to make a classic in this era...

im starting to think not just social media but society in general along with culture is to blame.

alot of beats also seem more flat...something is just off.

but maybe its society...im starting to think if ready to die came out in this climate people would love it but would not call it a classic...

Concerning when it will leak, as far as I know, only 3 people have it now. 2 with no plans to release it, at least this early.

So hopefully Kendrick's work will be safe for a while longer, another week maybe.

:rudy: Hopefully? What benefits would the album leaking a couple days later bring for anybody?

:camby:

The only rapper out here channeling James Brown is Mystikal. And I know good and godamn well I don't need to post an example for that.

Far as the beat, its good but nothing Quik hasn't already done.

15 years ago....ya'll Kendrick fans gotta step it up
