I remeber a time when one could like lil kim, nas and jay z at the same time. We liked different rappers for what they brought to the table...we aint care of someone outsold someone and thought whoever sold more was a superior artist.

Drake, k dot, j cole, nikki, french n so on...inlike em for different reasons.

Not about fans. If Kendrick drops two certified Classics Ina row without Drizzy dropping one in his entire disco. It just won't look good :francis:

Many people would consider TAKE CARE a classic.

Drake and Kendrick rap about different things for different audiences. Drake is mainstream and Kendrick caters to niche audiences who like being depressed and listening to poorly produced albums. I don't see the point in comparing them. Apple and oranges.

dude sounds like he was depressed as fukk by fame until the Trayvon Martin case turned it into pure anger.
:mjcry:

also talks about struggling to be comfortable around white people due to growing up never being around non-police whites.

Thanks for posting this.

I already knew Kendrick was talking about himself on that last verse of Blacker the Berry. Dude has alluded to certain things several times in his music; if a person isn't dense, and has listened to his past music, it was not hard to see what he was really saying. As mentioned, he's said it several times. I guess it's a thing where you either think it's just some music shyt or you believe him. I believe him. He's mentioned it too much for it to just be some purely music shyt, in my opinion. His demeanor seems like he's carrying something he can't mentally escape or accept. :mjcry:

Oh lawd

Here we go. Get ready for a bunch of nikkas philosophizing on this lame ass album title.

"You see, To Pimp a Butterfly means a whole lot of things. On GKMC Kendrick ended the album by being wound in a coc00n with the two nikkas from the album cover of "i". Those two nikkas broke out of the coc00n and became gang bangers while Kendrick turned into a butterfly, but even though he's beautiful he still got pimped by the gang bangers and the system and the gang bangers moms titties

Quality is quality. And no matter how much I person like TC, it isn't a classic album. Very good, not classic.
And man, people must really love poorly produced, depressive albums then. GKMC is widely considered the 2nd best rap album of the decade. TC ain't on anyone's list. I still love that project tho.
