Kendrick Lamar released 'Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers' two years ago today. Classic or nah?

We Cry Together is one of the worst songs ever made but overall the album was great but not a classic way too much filler could of lost like 3-4 tracks

It's not as good as TPAB, but then again no album is challenging tpab. Definitely classic

I think we'll need more time to determine if it's actually a classic. But taking it at face value, it's good, but it's probably my least favorite Kendrick album overall.

So, with movies, there are some movies that I love, but because of them dealing with heavy subjects, I just don't have the desire to just throw it on on a Saturday afternoon when I've got nothing to do, and instead I'll watch something that might not be as good, but is an easier watch. This album is a lot like that. It's a good album, but I just don't have the desire to start it up and listen to it front to back rarely, if ever again.

Really great album. Maybe not consensus cultural classic but still better than 85% of albums that get put out. It's a B+ sitting amongst the rest of his S-Tier albums. It is by no means "bad" or "average" tho. Some people are gonna connect with the content more than others.
Yeah. I guess it depends on the person.

Maybe too mature.

TPAB might be too black for some.

it’s a classic because it talks about everything a real black man goes through
Most nikkas posting on this forum ain’t black nor real men
But they will run they narrow ass to TLR
Talking real problack though
Hypocrites and cosplayers

very good point above

maybe that's why i listen to this album and Killer Mike Michael album so much....as a black man born in the 80s where i was raised..the topics just hit home.

Not classic but comically disregarded

Minus the interludes there’s 16 songs. On my condensed version I keep 12 of em

So the only bad/subpar/skips imo are:

N95- kendrick always struggles with that label forced intro single

Worldwide steppers- it’s just a weird song. No beat

Mother I and Auntie Diaries- way too forced

Otherwise it’s 12 tracks of A material. 12 of 16 is an album nggas would pray to have. But bc we’re so used to Kendrick albums with no skips this album being ‘bad’ got overblown
