Its certainly had more impact so far. The song is a huge hit.
Though, a big part of what makes Ether for me is that Nas was more or less considered out, and don't think anyone expected what is basically The Destruction Of Camel on wax. Had peak Jay with Kanye on the boards, where Nas was seen in decline.
Comparatively, Kendrick has a "don't poke the bear" thing and I'm 100% certain someone warned Drake not to bite. But he believed too much in his ghost writing team and his corporate scale tipping.
