I’m soooo looking forward to Kenny’s album and NaS’ KD3 duking it out with each other for those three titles, it’s all I ever wanted between them…Some GOAT-level competition with each other, it’s like NaS is Rakim and Kendrick is NaS :wow:
Lmao. Nas ain’t dropping shyt as creative as Kendrick. Stop.

Plenty of people are. I saw more people already checking for TEMS after the Future song.
I remember when Drake sampled At Your Best by Aaliyah mad people all a sudden became a fan of that song.

“You” saw it. Okay?!. You could easily show the increase of traffic from streams. Show me. Otherwise what you experience is only what you saw

I’ve read plenty of articles in it before. Here is one.

“Publishers have a vested interest in getting tracks interpolated: They get revenue on the new songs if their signed songwriters have credits on the tracks, and interpolations and samples often drive streams to the original material to boot.”

Well he’s been doing that almost since the beginning. He’s spoken of and supported Michael Jackson at the HEIGHT of white Hollywood doing their damndest to cancel him during that Finding Neverland shyt. Hell GKMC is one big parable and humanization of gangbanging culture. I wouldn’t be surprised if the recent controversies surrounding Isaiah Rashad, Doja Cat, and even people like C-Murda wasn’t on his radar.

When shyt hits the fan is you still a fan?
One of the leaked song was also a MJ perspective track sorta like the Nip thing but more autobiographical. The Prayer.

That’s not showing me the numbers to match and back it up. Yes people will get paid from their samples works. But are people going back and listening and supporting the original artists works.

this article, in a nutshell, admitted to the big publishing companies (that have been buying artists publishing) set up camps giving the songwriters permission to sample the songs they own in “hopes” of earning revenue from the originals not that they really are but it does explain how artists and the publisher are making money from the interpolation of their songs which is given

Nas been there done that. On top of that. Kendrick gets passes for being creative that other rappers don’t. Just see J Cole and KOD.

Wait I thought KOD was critically acclaimed and fans liked it?

I didn’t love as much a few months down the line after its initial release but the concept was cool

Cole got shytted on for KOD. Everybody started comparing him to Kendrick and honestly I feel if Kendrick dropped that same project it would’ve got way more love. And if Cole dropped DAMN it would’ve gotten way less.
