The link has been explained, you're not accepting it.

Every single poll does not say Eminem is the GOAT. Regardless, saying this is you talking in an absolute. What Em has done from 98-04, really to 2010 because Relapse and Recovery are better than cats here give credit for, objectively places him in the conversation. The subjectivity comes into play to say where in the conversation based on how he did it.
They are not

Well, I think the link has been declared but not justified at any point so far. I showed that given the definition of objectivity, it's independent from wide acceptance when it comes to evaluating art. I didn't read anything yet that would make me believe such a link exists.

Following your logic, it shouldn't matter if every single poll does not say Eminem is the GOAT. Only thing that should matter is if among all existing polls on the question, it's... widely accepted. Which is the case, that's what most polls asking the highest number of people say. So it should be an undeniable statement that Eminem is the GOAT.

But you seem to reframe it into something it's not, following arbitrary reasons; I don't see any justification in reframing the statement as "[being in the conversation]", which somehow would be the objective part, and [his position in that convo] somehow the subjective one. It doesn't follow from anything we said so far.

I'm willing to agree to disagree.

Jay and Nas haven't really touched on taboo topics, although Jay has nibbled around the edges of some. Ironically enough people hate those tracks and albums for the most part.

Nas has a two part song where he kills his cheating girlfriend, commits suicide, has his soul debate with God and returns to earth as a heavenly Prophet.

Nas has entire song about the consumption of alcohol as a self medicate for depression

Nas has spoken about domestic violence against pregnant women, even using his own mother and father as examples

Nas has spoken about Preachers molesting young boys

Nas has spoken about Black On Black crime

Nas has spoken about fear of Government and western medicine INCLUDING immunizations

Nas has spoken about the unhealthy and ultimately destructive nature of the food consumed by many African Americans and accepted as our brand of cuisine.

If you really think that Nas hasn’t spoken on taboo subject matter in his music then you’ve never listened to a Nas album, and you’d be better off saying that then typing bullshyt

Let me translate what that Kendrick stan is really saying, “it’s only taboo and deep when talking about LBGTQ issues”

Funny thing is Nas has spoken on that too

Who possesses the testicular fortitude
To blow away myths that's a hindrance to all of you?
You blame your own shortcomings on section, race
The mafia, homosexuals and all the Jews
It's hogwash point of views, stereotypical
Anti-Semitic like the foul words Gibson spewed
And it's pathetic.

Literally EVERYTHING Kendrick speaks about on Mr Morale & The Big Steppers Nas has rapped about in one way or another the past 30 years. What sets Kendrick apart is the way he does it is extremely topical to the times we’re living in today and Kendrick also created a concept album in order to address the topics from a personal point of view. He gets points for that, his masterful writing, and his bravery but he does NOT get any points whatsoever for trailblazing speaking on taboo topics within the black community when Nas been doing it since Illmatic, and before Nas it was G Rap and before G Rap it was Chuck D and before Chuck it was Grand Master Flash.

You apparently don't know what taboo is.

Those aren’t taboo topics. Kendrick actually saying the F word is taboo and mentioning molestation has been done by other artists.

There’s really no such thing as taboo subjects in music but some artists are praised for having diverse subject matter.
Lol they are taboo topics. And I didn't say no other artists mentioned molestation, I said Nas and Jay didn't really tackle taboo subjects head on. Although Jay nibbles around some taboo specifically shyttin on Christianity but doesn't go into too much depth on it.

Yeah Nas has rapped about EVERYTHING! But it’s not what you say it’s how you say it. Nas still
Managed to create great music while touching on a large array of topics.

Mr Moralle is critically acclaimed based on journalists reviews but the issue the majority is having is listening consistently because they don’t find the music worth listening to after a few spins

Those are not taboo subjects. For the past few years laws have been passed for the trans community strictly because more conversations have been needed, welcomed, and happening for trans-individuals. This isn’t the Stone Age “trans conversation” isn’t taboo and thinking it is is one of the reasons transphobia exists. Again saying the F word is taboo.

Kendrick nibbles at topics and barely gives depth to what he’s saying also which has been my gripe with him.

And again I say there are no taboo subjects. You can rap or talk about anything. Just because it doesn’t happen often doesn’t make it taboo. There’s literally hundreds of scholars in black male studies that have caused black men to open up about their sexual molestation.

we're talking about hip hop not your Jr High social studies class. A lot of the criticism about this album from the hip hop community is about those specific topics. Have you been paying attention? Seems like you're confused this AM, gather your thoughts then respond.
