Jay and Nas haven't really touched on taboo topics, although Jay has nibbled around the edges of some. Ironically enough people hate those tracks and albums for the most part.Jay, Nas, COUNTLESS OTHERS, have shown how to make rap music with a deep message and also musically bump
sorry, if a track has to have a deep message it also doesn’t have to sound like shyt
I like this and the Future album its possible lolIve come to realize that alot of nikkas that shyt on this album just want some mindless shyt to turn up to. They really want a escape from their lives and hear some shyt that could get played at the club (which they dont go to) It was the same way with TPAB. Its no way you can convince them that this album is good.. It is what it is.
I mean you really just trolling and trying to act like it's legitimate discussion. This isn't necessarily a thread about Kendrick Lamar directly it's a thread about an album he put out. Your post makes it pretty clear you don't like the artist that made the album. Why would anybody subject themself to something from an artist they know up front they don't like they comment on it as if that's objective criticism? Because they want to be a contrarian aka a hater. This thread is about Kendrick, not some guy on the coli, whom you don't know. Idgaf what you think about me. This is a forum for discussions. Your emotional statement insinuates that people should only CHEERLEAD & dikk ride or don't speak at all. fukk how you feel
Bullshyt. Jay maybe but Nas has done that head on.Jay and Nas haven't really touched on taboo topics, although Jay has nibbled around the edges of some. Ironically enough people hate those tracks and albums for the most part.
Its not my concern how you feel about me posting. I don't troll. There's a direct connection to the context of every discussion I involve myself in. I listened to the album and I spoke on the album and it's creator. I don't care how you deal with artists you don't like. fukk your feelings.I mean you really just trolling and trying to act like it's legitimate discussion. Again there's plenty of artist I don't care for them or their music. I couldn't even tell you the name of their last album let alone give an opinion on it because I don't listen to them.
Anyone that gives this album a serious listen can tell it wasn't assembled to be mainstream crowd-pleasing music. This is one of those albums that the artist wanted to do something and they did it instead of putting out a project to please all their fans. Some will listen to this and like it nevertheless and some won't.
Thanks for posting this, let me to an interesting read about the album on Wikipedia. I'll check out the album soon. When Marvin dropped “Here My Dear” after the universally loved “I Want You”, he confused everyone. Some even said he purposely put out a bad album because it was being used to pay off his ex wife. It’s probably one of the most conflicted and personal R&B albums ever made. There’s no easy or general way into or through it, you just have to be Marvin for the duration or the record
It wouldn’t be until many years later that people actually got what he was doing. Now its considered a classic. I’m not sure this is a classic, but I know 10 years from now people are going to revisit this and give it a few extra stripes. It’s just way too much to digest in it’s initial run.
What taboo topic has Nas ever touched on. I'll wait.Bullshyt. Jay maybe but Nas has done that head on.
What taboo topic is Kendrick touching? What taboo topic has Nas ever touched on. I'll wait.
Molestation/transWhat taboo topic is Kendrick touching?
What's the link between objectivity and wide acceptance? Humans disagree all the time when it comes to what's good vs bad, and wide acceptance changes across cultures and even times. Since an objective statement depends on the object it describes rather than opinion, it should never change depending on the culture or the era we're talking. There is a link between objectivity and wide acceptance. This applies to more than just music. Humans know what is good vs bad, right vs wrong, easy vs difficult, high vs low.
Eminem is in the conversation, because by all or most objective criteria, he is or was great. After a certain point your "subjective feelings = undeniability" as the volume of identical feelings add up becomes my point. It's become a generality instead of "maybe it's just me, but..."
When someone tries to tell you that Soulja Boy is greater than Jay Z and the GOAT, you know not to take that seriously because you know the metrics of great MC and great career, not because you "felt" something for 3 minutes when a song came on.
I'm speaking to how rational minded people act once exposed to something they don't like. Not listening to artist you don't really care for isn't unique to me it's more common than not.Its not my concern how you feel about me posting. I don't troll. @bigbadbossup2012 is the preeminent Coli hater. He has a form of mental illness that desperately needs treatment.I'm speaking to how rational minded people act once exposed to something they don't like. Not listening to artist you don't really care for isn't unique to me it's more common than not.
Pretty sad you can't even own being the hater you are. You gotta try to hide behind what I guess you think is some legit critique. The only person you fooling is yourself people see it for what it really is.

The link has been explained, you're not accepting it.What's the link between objectivity and wide acceptance? Humans disagree all the time when it comes to what's good vs bad, and wide acceptance changes across cultures and even times. You say Eminem is in the conversation but that's not what the polls say. The statement is not "Eminem is one of the great", it's "Eminem is the GOAT". Since the volume of opinion overwhelmingly points to him as the best ever, would you agree that's an objective statement non-dependent on personal feelings?
