Honestly, I fukk with this slightly more than DAMN. DAMN was good but it felt a bit watered down to me whereas this album feels more ambitious. I also enjoy how personal and unsettling it can get. There's a bit of Scarface-esque energy and vulnerability on this.

That being said, GKMC, S80, and TPAB are still levels above this. Doesn't mean Kendrick fell off but he's becoming more different from how he started off which might alienate some fans of his older craft.

The Cloud
Savior is my latest repeated track.

But why was K- Dot being so petty and not mentioning Drake in the beginning but talking Bron, fukk out of here.

He didn’t say either of their names in the song too. Doesn’t seem too weird to me.
I'm referring to Kendrick talking about not respecting rappers with ghostwriters. That sounds weird if he indeed wrote for Keem and Jay Rock. Does he not respect them?

Ultimately, how a project comes together and whether it resonates with you personally is completely subjective.

That said, the craft on display, the skillset, the production, the lyrics, the subject matter, the effort put into it, the colors, the cinematography etc, can all be looked at objectively.

Ie. Picasso is objectively simple, but subjectively brilliant.

This is a masterpiece in non duality. Damn was a deeply spiritual album. Tpab was Kendricks battle with the ego. Gkmc was a nineteen year olds version of everything

If that's the case then there would be no widely accepted opinions/facts on artists or albums. But this is not the case.

@Tetris v2.0 was more verbiose about it than me but it's the same sentiment.
There can be widely accepted opinions on artists without objectivity about art being a thing though. You just need a collection of subjective opinions and check for a majority.

What do you mean by "looked at"? Does that include evaluation?

I find that the only true objectivity when it comes to art is very limited, since it's meaningless for evaluating art and comparing pieces, but this is always what it's used for.
