I appreciate what he did on this album. Personal. Truth revealing.
But it's not good music. It's more him just stating his ideas.
Going from track to track I find it hard to focus on what he's even saying. I love Kendrick but this album isnt that good.
There's been a lot of of music in the past that got personal and controversial it still has the balance of being music. Biggie Suicidal Thoughts. Even Kendrick on Duckworth.

I think that's what Kendrick lost on this one. Wanting to express himself but forgetting it's an art.

All those songs are dope. The interludes and United in Grief, N95, and Worldwide Steppers I haven't really been messing with them but this album is heat. It's also pretty far from a typical rap album. I very much appreciate the fact that he went down a different road and made a very personal album instead of just another traditional rap album. This deserves a Grammy.

This is another masterpiece of an album. Didn't fully connect on the first listen, but the 2nd and further-after listens......wow mane :wow:
Exactly. The first time I listened to this album it kinda lost me. It took a few listens but it really clicked with me. This is in running for album of the year. I still wanna give that to Pusha T because he to me has no misses on his album but I can see my opinion on that evolving.

Now that the Coli:hamster: seems to be fix, can we discuss how production:fire:, Mr. Tony Starks:boss:, Portishead Songstress, and the two rap cats (assuming those weren't ghost-written verses) outshined Kung-Fu Kenny:whoo::huhldup::ohhh::lupe:
