Kendrick will never go hard body at white supremacy, detrimental agendas anything that would piss powerful people off.
nikka…Great album.
To me this feels like a spiritual progression of Sly and the Family Stone and The Isley Brothers.
Gets doper with each listen.
Timeless Music.
That shyt was weak posturing. In the late 80's early 90's, nikkas was screaming fukk the police and talking about busting back. This scary nikka older than all of them were , talking about "we gon be alright"Alright is one of his biggest songs, what are you talking about?
And please, Drake is scared to death of angering white people so let's not go there.
Tpab and damn were boring
This joint better
But i agree with there being a significant amount of fluff
good question actually. fluff is the wrong word as i am sure the songs fill a purpose on the album. What would you categorize as “Fluff”?
Kodak killed it.
This the hardest track on the album
This album is spectacular. It's like every time I listen I hear something new and this is also one of the first albums in awhile where I actually find myself listening to other people's reviews and breakdowns. Usually I don't care at all and I usually grasp the musical content very easily but this album is special. It's like everyone has their own take away from it and it makes it real interesting to hear people break it down.
Whether they speak on it spiritually and all of the spiritual references, the therapeutic aspect and Kendrick touching on the different trauma of his life, the actual bars, whether Eckhart Tolle is a dangerous quack or conman who people should disregard and I could go on and on.
I even stumbled on this PG Lang video from 2 years ago which shows this album was well in the making cause you can hear piece of We Cry Together's intro towards the end of the video lol
They planned this whole shyt
Intresting, I feel he should have dropped it back then but everything in due time. He wouldn't have been able to tour and maybe that's important to him.The album was supposed to come out in 2020, but COVID delayed it.
Seems like an early version of Family Ties in the video, along with video of Kendrick talking to the therapist from the album.
