Foolishness! This won't be enough to hurt his career or even make a dent in it and with the status he has I doubt he would do any interviews this time around so they are wasting their time. It's stances like this that make people dislike their community as well. I mean Kendrick chose to speak on growth and understanding of the lgbt community, he didn't bash anyone, or make fun of lgbt people and he never said he was an expert or well researched on their communities politics but it's clear his intent was pure. He chose to speak on the real experience of having an lgbt family member and learning to accept them for their difference despite potentially alienating his real-nikka or gay hating fans who may not be so liberal. He even touched on how sometimes lgbt tendencies can have a genetic component that seems to go from family members of one generation to another.

He ends the song by pushing home the point that the F-word is wrong and yet still they miss that. He is using this piece to bring up the conversation as art is to be discussed but they choose to be overly sensitive here and this is why many people don't like them. It's like even mentioning them in anyway is a problem and that's unfair especially when you fight to be included and accepted. You can't have it both ways.

I can’t accept this when Kodak has shown no remorse for what he’s done, on the album or in the past. It comes off as a weird contradiction to buildup to a climax about sexual molestation and rape of our women AND men, after having a literal rapist help narrate the album.

The question for me becomes when you say you don’t judge does that mean you don’t think anyone should pay consequences for anything? If your sister or family member is raped? I get the forgiveness factor, but do you think the rapist should go to jail? Be ostracized? Anything? That’s my question and concern about this.
I think he chose Kodak deliberately to kinda show redemption and that people aren't perfect or at least to get people talking and thinking about the conversation. Controversy sells.

Its an amazing album. I do have a few more criticisms compared to last week but nothing that changes that fact

1. The Worldwide Steppers beat annoys the fukk out of me. That wobbly ass sound is irritating lmaoooo

2. While I think we cry together is a great concept, the replay value isn't there like that cuz I'm not tryna hear Kendrick yelling at his fake girlfriend for 5 minutes every time I spin the album. The replay value for that song isn't strong for me once you get the premise/catch. That isn't a big deal since you can always skip the track, but since I take the art of crafting albums seriously, that sticks out for me a bit. It's a well done record though. But I can see it killing my desire to ride the album out from start to finish.

Yep I'm not even black but continue to spit all over these people. I'm not talking about the LGBTQ community but to all the cacs that think they are afforded to police the art of anyone different from them. Even Fantano didn't object to any of the messages here, only judging the musical palette on here.

They love to remember him by TPAB because they love to remember black people as the "hands up don't shoot" icons of the Mike Brown protests. Kendrick has learned from Prince, Nas, etc. To just perform your art.

This is at best his 3rd best collection of work, but he's got my full support.

We Cry Together is song of the year and deserves a Oscar...:wow:

It's practically a remake of Domestic Violence from RZA. I saw a lot of people talking about Kim when it first dropped but I don't think that's the right comparison. It's dope in the theme of the album but it's not the groundbreaking song people are frothing over because I heard the same thing 20+ years ago. We Cry Together is probably more realistic as far as the argument goes but he had to take inspiration from Domestic Violence for sure.

Finally I can do a fukking response. This album to me is phenominal. I here people saying he ain’t got no bangers or singles I’m like are we listening to the same album?

N95, Die hard, Purple Hearts, Rich Spirit, Silent Hill,Saviour, Count me out. Pretty much almost the same as damn. After listening to this for a week I like it better than TPAB but I wouldn’t put it over GKMC or DAMN my opinion. This is definitely album of the year for me because I just don’t see any album coming out that’s going to tackle and go deep on issues the way that this album did. After it’s all said and done this album will be a classic project and an album that is ahead of its time just you watch. Aunties diary sounds like something that was released in the year 3001 with that futuristic beat even though I feel like the song was a little panderish it’s still an amazing track. But he’s in my overall top 5 dead or alive Jay-Z, Nas, Eminem, Wayne and Kendrick.

I like Kendrick a lot, for me though I feel like Jay Z's 4:44 is a better version of this album. I'm not even a Jay Z fan like that.

No bangers is fine, I feel like Jay covers a lot of similar themes on 4:44 with better production, lyricism and Jay Z is so straight forward and clear with his bars, just goes straight to the heart of the matter. Even though he's a billionaire, he makes the songs relatable to audience primarily young black men, showing how they can learn from his experiences and mistakes.

Kodak Black was a big highlight of this album. That kid is mad talented
