Nah. Black ppl would show up. Can’t underestimate that spending power. From Lion King to Hamilton, I’ve seen a ton of black ppl buy Broadway tickets.
Bring In Da Noise Bring In The Funk:sas1:

...sidebar, all that tapping interpolation reminded me of Savion:banderas:

My WuGoats influence (Worldwide Steppers beat switch:fire: & Domestic Abuse FUKKERY), tho::krs:

I had to let this sit for a couple of days plus TheColi acting up made me not want to post.

This was a 6 on first listen then it got to around 7.7 on the 3rd listen. Sounds much better after you run it back. I still want to dig a lil more.

* While I like "We Cry Together" it got redundant after the third "verse", could've just ended the song there. Listen to the clean version LOL.

*There was wasted space and too much going on at times. Idk what it is but it bothers me anytime I listen to "Mr Morale" because something sounds like its missing (Tanna Leone is a Jay Rock clone btw) and while Kodak did his shyt on "Silent Hill" Kendrick mailed his verse in. "United Grief" and "Count Me Out" were all over the place.

* I enjoyed most of the album. "Crown" isn't bad but I skip it, and I can appreciate the message in "Auntie Diaries" but I hate the song. N95, Die Hard, Mother I Sober, Mr Morale, Savior, and Mirror(I can't put my finger on what this reminds me of) are the standouts for me.

Crown - I hate how underrated this song is. I love this song, and it has an Andre 3K energy to it. It sounds like an interlude to a play at a theater. Kendrick and his therapist are on stage just sitting down with the spotlight on Kendrick calmingly performing it while the rest of the actors in the play gets ready for the next song, and the rest of the 2nd half of the play.
It's one of my favorite tracks in this lol. Not only the subject matter talks to me but the mood/ambience set is impeccable. I love that the track takes its time with it.

I’ve played this album almost nonstop since it dropped to see if I would like it more but I still feel like it’s just a good album with little replay value :francis: the heavy content makes it too soon to give a final rating but I think it’s safe to say it’s his worst album. This is coming from someone that thought TPAB and DAMN were instant classics even though they both got divisive responses.

I agree with your point that its a good album with little replay value. I like the themes and topics he touched on but I can't see myself coming back this album often. But its been out less than a week so maybe my opinion might change
