This sounds exactly like Kendrick

I keep seeing this point repeated but nothing here is really different from what Kendrick has given before it’s just a mess
He has new stories to tell which is somewhat unique.

Anyways Savior has grown to be my favorite right now. Lol.

that beat drop :noah:

350-400K for Mr Morale would be impressive. It also didnt have the roll out that his other albums had.

This album had a rollout. This rollout was probably better than TPAB and Damn because of the 5 year hiatus. The anticipation was even greater to listen. It just didn’t have the huge smash like humble for Damn. 350k is great though. I think it’ll still sell 200k it’s second week

It's certainly a Kendrick album in the sense that there's a clear narrative structure that ties various things together - consider the book/chapter aspect of Section 80 or the poem on TPAB - but sonically this doesn't sound the previous albums. Some of the reverse sample/drum stuff from DAMN is on here, outside of that unless you want to say "well this album has a trap beat and that album has a trap beat too" I'm not seeing your point. The off kilter tempo shifts on the intro, the (elementary school) theatrical interludes, the choir shyt on Count Me In, more of him singing (not a good thing lol), We Cry Together performance wise, etc.

I'd certainly it's his most mixed album, in terms of direction. Easily his most daring album conceptually, for good and bad.

I will never get used to "Crypto.com Arena" over Staples Center. shyt is embarrassing. Vince Staples is right, they should have named it after Kobe and said "sponsored by crypto.com" somewhere in small print. And after the last few days that shyt looks even worse lol...

"Come help Mr. Morale get out the box." Very interesting given the convos we've had about the album.

It's between that and Smoothie King Center.

Don’t worry, there’s no chance in hell crypto.com fulfills that obligation

They’ll probably default this year tbh

Ngl I liked this on my first listen but I was little disappointed. A few listens later and now I think it might be my favorite kendrick project.

I don't get why some of ya'll are talking about this not being accessible though. N95, Die Hard, Purple Hearts, Silent Hill and many other joints are pretty straighforward and probably go dumb in a concert.TPAB was way more left field and I don't remember this much outcry over that, but it seems people are just whinier in general these days.
