My brother..agree with everything ! I feel like im 18 again..Kendrick Lamar doing these numbers really reignites my faith in consumers supporting quality Hip Hop. This is an INCREDIBLE feat for a Hip Hop debut album with no huge singles or sellout gimmicks, it's just an excellent piece of work top to bottom. THIS is an album I'd use as a perfect example of Hip Hop as an artform. A poetic means of expression, biography, lyrical dexterity and musical genius. I fukking LOVE seeing Kendrick win, I love seeing his team win, I love listening to this album over and over and discovering something uniquely dope on every track.
Nas, K.Dot, and Lupe Fiasco all released masterpieces of the genre this year and I couldn't be happier. Killer Mike, Blu, Masta Ace, Blu, Danny!, AB Soul, and Big KRIT also released stellar material which provided diversity of sound and concept. This has been a truly wonderful year for rap music, I feel blessed to be a fan right now.
