If they were smart they release a video and get Janet herself to be in it. But the Janet Sample is driving the success of the song. "Anytime, Anyplace" is a Classic song and a huge hit back in 93. Had panties dropping everywhere back in high school off that track. I wasn't to sure about it at 1st but I am happy they paid homage with the title and sample.

i just wanna uppercut Drake. His verse is so underwhelming. Why is he on it?

perfect example of what i hate about the hype for this album.

first i disagree with whatever Shyne said. I think Shyne is just stuck in a certain mode. or maybe he was just expecting something completely different and was dissapointed. so he says the album is trash, i disagree and think the album might be considered a classic hip hop album in the future.

Having said that, the hosts (especially the girl) was acting like he wasn't allowed to say that. Since when are people not allowed to call shyt trash if they feel like it is? even though i love the album and it's becoming one of those that i love even more after each listen, i would hate for it to become one of those albums you're not allowed to criticize. at least the other dude sort of corrected her.

If you can't see he's just attention seeking I don't know what to tell you.
That was just pure interscope hate. Then tried to justify it by hoppin on 50s dikk

His flow was straight but all the female verses from him are getting old. I know why Kendrick got him on the song but again another "Female with problems" verse from Drake. Wasn't enough to ruin the song though cause like I said you cannot deny Janet's voice, it drives the track. Janet never had a powerful voice like Whitney or Mariah but her voice is very unique and she can still hit the notes. Her voice is way sexier than Whitney or Mariah which is why she has so many sex anthems. Again Kendrick owed Drake one for putting him on "Take Care", he was only returning the favor and out of all the tracks, obviously this one was the right fit considering it's about a female.

Ab Soul did the voices for a bunch of the skits ... and I think he is the one who was sayin' the "WE OFF OF PILL AND REMY RED" etc parts inbetween "wit' the homies" hook on Art of Peer Pressure too.

PRops. The Remy Red part makes sense cause it was him saying it on Section 80 and this is the same voice.

It's cool to have an opinion but to call somethin trash is a BOLD statement. There's a lot of "trash" out there and to put an album like this in the same category ............ Even if you hate KL, just sounds like pure hate

Yeh also on poetic justice...this had to be Q... "Matter of fact, get out the van homie. Get out the car before I snatch you out that mother fukker homie." And soul was the other dude "ay you over here for Sherane homie?"

Shyne can say the album is trash, he doesn't like it or fukk it with it. Alright cool, but don't like it and keep it moving. Announcing your opinion on twitter to the whole world when your a "celebrity" :heh: just reeks of wanting to leech off Kendricks buzz for some relevance. Same guy that was sending death threats to the Obama. Don't give a fukk either way just my opinion that no one asked for. Bad Boys goes hard.

Kendrick Lamar doing these numbers really reignites my faith in consumers supporting quality Hip Hop. This is an INCREDIBLE feat for a Hip Hop debut album with no huge singles or sellout gimmicks, it's just an excellent piece of work top to bottom. THIS is an album I'd use as a perfect example of Hip Hop as an artform. A poetic means of expression, biography, lyrical dexterity and musical genius. I fukking LOVE seeing Kendrick win, I love seeing his team win, I love listening to this album over and over and discovering something uniquely dope on every track.

Nas, K.Dot, and Lupe Fiasco all released masterpieces of the genre this year and I couldn't be happier. Killer Mike, Blu, Masta Ace, Blu, Danny!, AB Soul, and Big KRIT also released stellar material which provided diversity of sound and concept. This has been a truly wonderful year for rap music, I feel blessed to be a fan right now.

Kendrick Lamar, TDE, and Black Hippy :win:
