Az even said Kendrick was supposed to drop GNX earlier this year, but the beef took place.


I wouldn't be surprised if this album was in the work for years, just twisted a few lyrics doe + added the self titled song.

I think the overall concept/idea of the album was planned but at least half of these songs were recorded after the beef

i’m very curious about the process tho.

cause a song like reincarnated mightve been recorded/written 2019/2020 considering that the concept of the track has to do with pov’s.

And i could be wrong with this but i believe the early version of MM&TBS was supposed to be an album that was told thru different perspectives. And it was originally supposed to drop in 2020 but covid happened. So a song like Reincarnated and even Gloria mightve at the very least been in the works

Just a random post here about the beef. Probably not an original thought.

Does anyone think Drake didn’t really care about winning or losing? How could he think he would win given that Pusha roasted his whole soul?

He had to know Kenny would win easily. I think he just wanted a boost to run the numbers. Bad publicity is still big publicity type of thing.

He clearly doesn’t care about any hardcore hip hop image if he’s raising lawsuits (which I think is just another bad publicity = still big publicity thing for him), so it just makes sense to me. He knows he’s an RnB / Pop Hop artist.

I‘m a Kendrick fan btw so this isn’t an OVO sponsored post or anything. Just a thought I had earlier today.

after the pusha t beef all he had to do was drop hits and thats what he did. He dropped Scorpion which was a smash and he was back in the good graces of everyone.

with this beef. everything about the way he approached it was a bad move. everything. he was ill prepared and underestimated dot.

he dropped music and nothing caught fire. nothing. this isnt the end of his career but his career won’t be the same.

No way... they confirmed Kendrick had all of the producers and co locked last year at Jimi Hendrix' studio in NY for this album, including Taylor Swift's producer.

There's only 2 tracks that weren't made by the dudes credited for that session.

so that means that Drake knew kendrick is/was going to diss him and chose to not prepare anything else within those 4 years to drop in response to MTG & nlu.

again, ill prepared and just underestimated kendrick and showed us that drake isnt as calculated as people say he is

which is why we got The Heart Part 6.
