Even with the Pusha diss drake clearly wasn’t dissing pusha’s wife.. it was a simple wordplay name mention line.. Pusha the one that initiated the family angle by getting personal.. a name mention in a beef doesn’t equal an angle to me.. shyt gotta be actual disrespect

Its a DISS song. Every name dropped is meant in a disrespectful manner. Drake’s strategy has ALWAYS been to utilize the other MC’s women against them. Thats part of how Kendrick saw it coming a mile away. Because he knew Drake wouldn’t learn from the Pusha T situation. Every time Drake dips a toe in the mud it allows his opponent to throw them both headfirst into the muck, and its proven that Drake doesn’t do well in the muck, he exceeds when its just surface level battling but his ego wouldn’t allow him to switch up his strategy which was part of his undoing.

To be such a self proclaimed fan of battle rap Drake failed to learn from one of the biggest battles of all time (Jay-Z Vs Nas) and his OWN previous losses. Namely that when it comes to battling world class MC’s (of which both Push and Kendrick are world class) their women are NOT the trump cards, because their reputations aren’t built off being pimps, playboys or pick up artists. There are at least 5-10 stronger angles Drake could’ve come at Kendrick with that would’ve been harder hitting than “Your wife slept with the bodyguard” and “Your best friend impregnated your wife”. That soap opera shyt would work against Asap Rocky but Kendrick? Nah.

Drake, for all the styles he’s sharked and ghostwriters he’s employed is shockingly predictable, shallow and pedantic when it comes battles.

What's crazy is how both the lyrics and beat are constantly escalating in sync. On the second beat that extra sound kicks in after the YNW Melly line and then the bells come in when he does the "I hate..." lines. All the jabs and shots he's saying verbally get increasingly more direct, aggressive, and scathing all the way into the 3rd beat and the warning at the end. Elite songwriting wrapped within a 6 minute freestyle :ehh:

This dude said Family Matters is a too 5 diss track. Nobody takes what you say seriously

Look at his rep, or any previous comment he's ever made. Breh is a bottom-5 poster on this site. I don't even know how someone gets as much negative rep as their post count.
