The way they used bono genius. The song starts out with how kendrick really feel about a given situation and then he get off the phone for an Industry speaking engagement and spreads a good introspective message with a pop artist.

Both of which reflecting how he really feels.

I forgot who it said it.... I think John Updike.... but the point was don't critique a book you think someone should have written. Critique the one they did write. I feel a lot of the bytching in this thread is people criticizing an album they think kendrick should have made.

Yeah, I really wanted a ton of rewind energy tracks like everyone is asking for and was pretty let down at first, but when i step back and look at the album, i see a Drive/There's A Riot Goin On, etc type feeling, execution, mood. Call it watered down if you want. i dont care. But for me, this album, you dont rewind the tracks bc you rewind the album.
