He didn't do it first but drake took it farther. Kendrick was supposedly against all this so what happened?

Man let's just get Kendrick into a battle and end he debate. Ready to see him get washed.
So drake took singing further than any rapper before him :dead:

How? By using studio vocals, not writing the lyrics and badly singing over reference tracks? :mjlol:

Put Cee lo and drake on the same stage and have them sing live :russ

Drake ain't even the first fukking Canadian rapper to mix singing and rapping you fukking clown.

K:OS is a better singer and rapper than drake by miles :umad:

4 good songs? :what:

Not The Only One
Really Really
2 Phones
Pride
La Familia
Time For That
One Thing
The Truth
Kno One
Excuse Me

The other 7 I'll give you, Islah is definitely more commercial than his earlier work and in some ways not for the better.

Summertime 06 was a better sequenced album than Islah and I enjoyed the production on it for the most part, there were a number of missteps on that album as well though. Dopeman, Loca and Jump Off The Roof were underdeveloped and came off as cutting room filler compared to the rest of the album. I greatly enjoyed Surf, Senorita, Like It Is, Norf Norf and 3230, the rest of the album was consistent enough to not be skippable.

I'd take Luca Brasi 2 over Summertime 06 in a heartbeat though

The commercial songs are the best songs on the album though...

BWA, Hard For and La Familia only songs I think weren't necessary but none of those records are terrible. Hard For was made for top 40 and the other 2 are meant to appeal to Luca Brasi fans. I guess Ask For More isn't needed but it kind of holds the sonic cohesion of the album together.

Told Me is typical depressed Gates getting at homies who've betrayed him
Aint Hard To Tell is a beautiful ode to Dreka
Love It is a great way to exit on a triumph not after an album full of cuts dealing with betrayal, heartbreak and depression

I understand why people like Luca Brasi 2, but to me Islah is definitely his best work so far.

So, Kanye didn't make 808 and Heartbreaks? 3000 wasn't singing his heart out long before Drake had his bar mitzvah? The foreign exchange/Little Brother didn't exist either? etc etc etc All of these influences on Drake, but Drake is the reason for Kendrick? :dead:

To go further

Crash Crew was the first to harmonize and sing on their albums and in live performances, then Force MC'S/MD' s took it to the next level not only they were emcees who battled the Great Mighty Cold Crush Brothers but they also could Sing, real Damn Good that record labels told them to become singers, then years later Bone Thugs, Nelly, Ja Rule

Drake didn't do shyt, Singing in Hip Hop been around since the beginning.

Tonight's Homework for these Drake fans is to study Cash Crew

People just don't know the truth. I been wondering why I can relate to Kenny more and more. You can tell, him and Soul been having them spiritual talks.
