He didn't do it first but drake took it farther. Kendrick was supposedly against all this so what happened?

Man let's just get Kendrick into a battle and end he debate. Ready to see him get washed.
Drake ain't eligible to battle with Kendrick as he doesn't write 95% of his songs

Sean would do okay though.

I love XXX but Kendrick's voice and delivery is way too light on that 2nd beat. That's some NWA type shyt, hard as fukk :ohlawd:

"I'll wait in front a nikkas spot and watch him hit his block
I'll catch a nikka leavin' service if that's all I got
I'll chip a nikka, then throw the blower in his lap
Walk myself to the court like, "bytch, I did that!"

Imagine a 1988 Cube, MC Ren, or shyt even Groovy Tony over that beat rapping them lyrics :merchant::damn:
I need that Kendrick/SchoolBoy Q joint album :whew:

God's Plan
i read someone say its very 'straight forward' compared to his other albums. very well put and very necessary coming off his past couple projects, i think. i dont instantly love it but theres nothing here i dislike. love how diverse the production is. lookin forward to spending time w/ it this weekend.
love sounds a bit drakish, maybe its the trendy flows.
lust seems to take some nods from outkast. again, u can tell he and his team r big fans.
everyone who turned their noses up at the u2 feature's bein humbled (:youngsabo:) im sure. one of the sure standouts.
big look for 9th wonder. came thru and crush the buildings.

On “FEAR.,” Kendrick spends three verses meditating on the things that scared him at three different distinct points of his life from an abusive parent at age seven to the swiftness of his own rise at age 27. And the middle verse, in which a teenage Kendrick focuses on all the random things that, in his head, will “probably” kill him, is among the most poignant things he’s ever written.

:dahell:I guess all black parents abusive?

Islah was fukking trash :mjlol:

Had about 4 good songs and the rest were poor attempts at pop radio.

Summertime. 06 is a much better album. It ain't even close

Trying to inject your favorite rappers by way of other artists threads is a retarded thing to do. All you're doing is ensuring that people dismiss you off top.

The nerve of someone to try to tell others what art is while trying to big up a garbage a album is hilarious.

4 good songs? :what:

Not The Only One
Really Really
2 Phones
Pride
La Familia
Time For That
One Thing
The Truth
Kno One
Excuse Me

The other 7 I'll give you, Islah is definitely more commercial than his earlier work and in some ways not for the better.

Summertime 06 was a better sequenced album than Islah and I enjoyed the production on it for the most part, there were a number of missteps on that album as well though. Dopeman, Loca and Jump Off The Roof were underdeveloped and came off as cutting room filler compared to the rest of the album. I greatly enjoyed Surf, Senorita, Like It Is, Norf Norf and 3230, the rest of the album was consistent enough to not be skippable.

I'd take Luca Brasi 2 over Summertime 06 in a heartbeat though

He raps too hard. When he decides to diss someone he will learn that many others are nicer than he is.

Y'all are fooled by this technique of cramming syllables
I didnt notice that at all on this album and I was critical of Heart Part IV for that exact reason. I see why it was a throwaway, cause it would stand out as a low quality product on an excellent album.
But how much credibility do you really have anyway, you're a Drake stan ranting about the technical merits of other rappers. Thats a joke, breh.
