well thats what happens when you approach fanbases that are rabid. you encounter people who are so ingrained in their own personal connection and interpretations of an artist that they reject alternate opinions, especially if they're skewed in the direct opposite position.

im an admitted kendrick stan of the highest caliber because his music resonates with me, but that shouldn't mean he's above critique if you have valid opinions about his music. he's not bulletproof. but i gotta say, a hype thread for a well liked artist's new album the night of it's release isn't exactly the best avenue to get well balanced and reasoned discussion, as unfair as it may be. time is usually the best ally of split discussion.

i can't hate on you not feelin his stuff...we all like different approaches to artforms we are fans of. i'm glad you're not deterred from people shutting you down though

Kendrick to me was never a rappity rapper, but more of a songwriter rapper, like Pac or Kanye.

He is a song writer rapper. Pac and Kanye actually have several songs tho that people know word for word. Like several Kendrick not so much...
