Well the first half anyway. 2nd half is lowkey but works because of Kendrick's energy.

That's my favorite part.
The fukking rumbling hard as fukk 808's, the growling
synth bass, the repeating sample etc.
shyt reminds me of some of that Kanye/Jay-Z (mainly Kanye) work from
this decade.
Dope song IMO.
The first half is cool too.

Sonically/Beatwise this definitely is the most 'West Coast' sounding,the beats on here are thumpers,very bassish and shyt..

funny,eye twas listening to a Slaine song earlier called "Nobody Prays For Me" and on "FEEL"(i'm on song 5 now)and Kendrick says he feels like people don't pray for him..

I'd personally welcome more opinions that stray from the consensus not get defensive. Is this a discussion or a group think? If people are so sure I'm wrong or they have a response that would make me consider something I hadn't before then well-thought rebuttals would seem natural....especially from Kendrick fans, right?

well thats what happens when you approach fanbases that are rabid. you encounter people who are so ingrained in their own personal connection and interpretations of an artist that they reject alternate opinions, especially if they're skewed in the direct opposite position.

im an admitted kendrick stan of the highest caliber because his music resonates with me, but that shouldn't mean he's above critique if you have valid opinions about his music. he's not bulletproof. but i gotta say, a hype thread for a well liked artist's new album the night of it's release isn't exactly the best avenue to get well balanced and reasoned discussion, as unfair as it may be. time is usually the best ally of split discussion.

i can't hate on you not feelin his stuff...we all like different approaches to artforms we are fans of. i'm glad you're not deterred from people shutting you down though
