Right. You could argue for singers, Tinashe has an organic come up. But people also love to call her a one-hit wonder and a flop. So I don't think people actually respect the organic come up as much as they say they do.

Dudes like Tech N9ne and (even though people hate him) Hopsin have organic come ups, because it took them a long-ass time to get to where they are (though mileage may vary). They've had a growing fan base, and they also tend to be some of the most loyal and vocal fan bases out. You can look at the traits for organic come ups and see it in TDE. It's always when some rapper becomes successful you hear people come out with the plant excuse. Just on some bitter hater shyt, they can never admit when someone's doing well.
