isn't that a contradiction? each line is a description of what's in his DNA. they build on each other as he says he's gods new weapon.
and I don't know how true the second part is. free association has been around for a while.
You sure about that? You sound stupid as hell tc. Scarface, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Andre 3k, Big Boi, Common, Black Thought, Ice Cube, Chuck D, DMX, etc aren't quotable having ass nikkas either. nikkas painting pictures with vivid imagery and you talking about some one liners.![]()
You sure about that?
These nikkas got bars for days. Especially Prime Common
That's what make GOAT rappers GOAT. They can do both
Then there's the fact that nikkas like X and Cube we're blessed with some of the greatest voices in hip hop so their edge in delivery comes off way harder and ferocious than 99% of rappers in rap history.
Dont know himwhy he need quotables, G rap top 10 but how many qoutables he got or any anyone can mention and this aint to say Kung Fu is a GOAT
It's like you ain't even read my postBro yall the ones making up this dumb ass narrative that Kendrick's not a GOAT because he doesn't sit around trying to think of one liners. I don't put any value into quotables at all really so guys like X and Common are GOATS to me like Kendrick. What are some famous DMX and Common one liners tho. Tell us about all them Cube quotables.![]()
It's like you ain't even read my post
There isn't a rapper alive that has "universally known quotables".
Okay, give us your 10 fav lines from the song (without using ya googles)Every line from Warm It Up Kane more or less
My point is more of the fact that if Kendrick isn't out right storytelling in a track his lack of rap skills. He has dope rhyme schemes and flow but he got more filler in his bars than you'd think with a minimum amount of head turning wordplay or wittiness.Your post seemed like some nikka babble to be honest. The premise of this thread is that Kendrick ain't a GOAT because he doesn't put one liners in his raps. Let's hear all them Scarface/Andre 3000/Common/Ice Cube/DMX/etc one liners bro.

"Think of Sandra Bland as I'm staring in the wind
The color of my skin, they comparing it to sin
The darker it gets the less fairer it has been"
How many lines on DAMN are hitting as hard as that? This is just shyt from Com's latest albun
"Smoke a little, keep a high standard
The Roots are my nikkas so I gotta fly band with (bandwidth)
Son of the sit-ins, you know who I stand with"
"Influenced by the life of the former, Joanne Chesimard
Assata Shakur, I gotta do more
The light-skinned spook who got in the door
I gotta hit four, same thing Cassius Clay uses pottery for"
You gotta be kidding me if you think Kendrick can go bar for bar with nikkas like Common Sense![]()
They don't. one could say that the point of those first four bars was to show the complexities of his DNA but the execution is lazy. Tying lines together is a simple concept that you hear pretty much every golden era rapper do from Cube to O.C. to Common and etc. the way you tie the ideas together is a big part of what makes the way you're rhyming it dope.
