nikkas about to run up in here and overhype her like they do in every thread.

Though there's some truth to it, let's be honest.. she'd never be able to fill Beyonce's shoes. The charisma, talent, sex appeal, looks...

nikkas wanna act like the prince came to the crib rockin a footlocker jersery and a chariot full of glass slippers in different sizes :camby:

:dwillhuh: Charisma??????

It's the truth. She's always been my favorite member since I was a child so I kept a close eye on her activities.
She's just as good, if not better than Beyonce but she can't meet the same success because the rest of the world's mind is polluted with thinking lighter is better. So fukking sad man.
:mjcry:
well...i agree with Kelly that it probably had a factor but Beyonce is just flat out better looking. Skin has nothing to do with that

Another reason we HAVE to stop accepting mulattos as black. You have young dark/brown skinned girls looking up to these mulatto women who represent them as black in the media. How damaging it

must be to compare yourself and your features to someone who looks nothing like you even though they are viewed as black. shyt is sad, and detrimental.
It's 2016 nikka.. shut the fukk up.

Missy was just as dark, and FATTER, and made it all right. Kelly blaming her mediocrity on her skin color is foul

Whitney Houston
Laruyn Hill

:camby:

This chick isn't as successful as beyonce cause she's not as good of a singer or liver performer as bey. She also doesn't have the star power

I seriously hope you dudes are not black to be this oblivious.

Its true tho. Take it or leave it:manny:. You could take the best dark skin women in world and still have people try to down play their beauty or talents. Bet you cant even tell me the last really famous dark skin singer:aicmon: ,shyt hella sad too.

What people?

Sooner you stop looking for acceptance for whites, stop wanting to part take in their industries, and stop inviting them into your lives this won't be a problem

The problem is Kelly Rowland, she doesn't like her dark skin, article even said beyonce's mom who looks like a mummy, tried to explain to her how beautiful her skin is

The problem isn't white people, the problem is self hate

you got Tariq Nasheed calling another black man crispy, and he suppose to be against white supremacy

White people are never going to promote another's race image over their own, why would they do that, why would you even expect them too
lastly why do you care what they think

The problem is many black people feel inferior because they learn this inferiority from other black people

Also when young black girls are bombarded with images of white women in shampoo commercials it damages their psyche
so without a support system or any type of community who her image can be celebrated, she will fall pray to these same insecurities

this is why integration was the worst thing that happened to black people in this country post slavery

as far as her career, being in beyonce's shadow is what hurt her career, and it's a shame she feels its her skin

It has look at how beyonce and nick minaj are bleaching their skin
I get annoyed how some people even use being dark as an insult. We as black people are beautiful, every shade and skin color. This pitting of different skin colors needs to stop because it only weakens and further divides us as a community. We see colorism even enforced through mainstream media with movies showcasing more light skinned women in positive role than dark skin women. Hell, we even got a light skin women who refuses to classify herself as black portraying Nina Simone in a movie:snoop:. White supremacy has literally been worked into every aspect of our life but so many negroes are too indoctrinated to know it.

you're absolutely right breh

As a black behavioral scientist and practicing psychiatrist, my own functional definition of Racism (White Supremacy) is as follows:
"Racism (White Supremacy) is the local and global power system and dynamic, structured and maintained by persons who classify themselves as white, whether consciously or subconsciously determined, which consists of patterns of perception, logic, symbol formation, thought, speech, action and emotional response, as conducted simultaneously in all areas of people activity (economics, education, entertainment, labor, law, politics, religion, sex and war), for the ultimate purpose of white genetic survival and to prevent white genetic annihilation on planet Earth - a planet upon which the vast majority of people are classified as nonwhite (black, brown, red and yellow) by white skinned people, and all of the nonwhite people are genetically dominant (in terms of skin coloration) compared to the genetic recessive white skin people".

not to say that this isnt a problem but...

Beyonce was always the one tht was gonna make it out of that group.

Just like Timberlake was the chosen one for N'Sync, Omarion for B2k, Mj for J5 and etc. they were the leaders for a reason :yeshrug:

And im darkskin my self (real dark skin, not industry dark skin) so i know all about them problems
