I think if tonight's DC had shown up back in January, he would've beat Jones. Jones did no real damage to him in that fight. DC kept coming in this one after almost getting brutally finished by that knee. His conditioning was top notch for tonight.

What? Jones destroyed him in the clinch against the cage and with body shots. You nuts

Please show me where Jones almost finished DC. :ld:

Why does that matter? Rumble almost finished him too and what happened? DC really did nothing different. The problem with Gus is his lack of adjustment as well as heart honestly. Cormier got off earlier with those same uppercuts against Jones in the early rounds. Jones shut that shyt down quick. Gus keep allowing DC to pull his head down over and over. Same like Jones with those high kicks.

I never said DC didn't lose. We have yet to see how all these outside issues have affected him and there's no guarantee he'll even be reinstated by the end of the year or more. Anything can happen.

:comeon: wishful thinking breh. Jones is arguably the most dominant fighter in the UFC and he's still in his prime. Nobody is seeing him right now.

And it's pretty much guaranteed he'll be back in 2016.

If they're going to treat UFC 200 as a big deal like they did 100, then DC vs. Jones has to be their first choice as the main event there, right? That's going to be a long time of inactivity though.

i'm seeing a bunch of cormier is corny and this and that (i'm not sure why to be honest)
You don't know why? He's literally in every embedded acting like a clown thinking he's buddies with everyone. Really the whole aka is despicable espically Rockhold. Loved when he was trying to play Werdum and then he whooped his boy Cains ass. Cormier is just a punk don't get me wrong he's a badass but he really is a punk.

I'm rooting for Jones to turn it around. I don't think there's any argument that he's not the most dominant but to just assume he'll run through DC is ridiculous.

Nah, I can't agree with that one. Jones beat DC then and he would beat this version of DC right now. Theres not much of a difference with DC. He's still the same fighter. Jones unlike Gus has a killer instinct, a higher fighting IQ, one of the best coaches in his corner and doesn't falter as the fight goes on. I'm not saying DC can't make it competitive, but I just don't see how he beats the best 205er ever in his prime that never lost a fight. (Matt Hamill DQ win don't exist to me)

Reading these posts about the DC vs gus fight got me hyped to watch it now :damn:

And all you jon jones doubters are delusional. Jones will go down as the best ufc fighter of all time and I wouldn't be surprised if he finish DC for their rematch. He's had a lot of time off to just train and rest his body. I bet he comes back better than ever:blessed:
