If you're the bears you have to risk missing out on Marv to acquire multiple FRPs. Odunze is not a bad consolation prize if you have to trade 4 or lower.

You roll with fields and build an elite offense around him. Draft an OL at 10.

Dream scenario - Trade back to 3, draft Marv, pick up an extra first rounder

Marv is not getting past AZ at 4
no trade you the 1 and get into position so you take mhj he's gonna be generational you dont say "well we can get dwayne bowe" when you can take calvin.

If the Bears don't think Fields is the guy, they should cut bait and get a QB they love in the draft.

Bears can't be paralyzed by over analysis at this moment.

So. Cal
The emotional one is the one who overreacts to every game and changing thread titles based on your “feelings.”
My feelings dont matter. The proof is Love is a franchise QB and top 10.

Just like your feelings dont matter and fields is a trash ass QB. :heh:

You have to ask the simple question of who do you think is the better QB between Fields and Caleb.
Sure you could get a haul for the 1st pick, but you rather have your franchise QB set first and foremost. You're going to have a team with Caleb + another top 10-15 pick, + $100M cap space. If he's the generational prospect that he's supposed to be you trade Fields and add another likely top 35 pick in the draft and/or solid player you get in return from him.

If the Bears were to keep Fields, they're probably going to run it back with the entire staff because I can't see them trying to have Fields learn another system going into another season.

Just went thru the whole thread and niqqas really saying CJ would been good if drafted at 1 :what: :wtf: :dahell: without that trade Darnell wright who is probably the best rookie tackle isn’t here,DJ Moore is still in Carolina Breh would’ve had Mooney and Tyler Scott as his two top WR,a shytty oline and a idiot at OC in getsy

I doubt you can get a haul like that. I feel like the other teams who could trade up probably know that this is a bit of a bind for the Bears in a way.

YOURE MISSING THE POINT....

IF "TEAM A" WANTS CALEB
BUT "TEAM B" SANDWICHED BETWEEN
"TEAM A" AND THE BEARS WANT CALEB ALSO
"TEAM A" WILL HAVE TO TRADE A HAUL.

IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH
THE BEARS SITUATION WITH FIELDS.

Caleb of course. Fields isn't good.

Justin Fields weeks 1 through 11
73.7 PFF grade,
-0.009 EPA/Play,
3-8 record.

Justin Fields weeks 12 through 17
72.0 PFF grade,
-0.013 EPA/Play,
4-1 record

Only difference is the Chicago Bears defense has been 1st in the NFL in EPA per play since week 10.

Imagine being the GM known for passing on Caleb Williams by persisting with this guy :mjlol:

JUST SAY YOU DONT WATCH THE BEARS...

FIELDS HAS BEEN HAMPERED
BY A TERRIBLE OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR...

ANYONE WHO WATCHES HIM
KNOWS HE PASSES THE EYE TEST.

Most likely keep and trade down for a ransom but if a QB absolutely blew me away then I'd draft them.

What is the upside to keeping Fields other than an emotional decision.

Fields ranks by stat 2023

- YPG (23/32)
- TD% (11/32)
- INT % (26/32)
- YPA (21/32)
- QB Rating (21/32)
- QBR (22/32)
- COMP % (27/32)
- Sack % (31/32)
- EPA/Play (22/32)
- Success rate (27/32)

At best, he'll be a middling QB who will average 170 passing yards for his career and rush for another 50 yards while throwing 2 TD's and 1 INT and fumbling the football.

Fields has like 1 game in his career he threw for more than 300 yards (!) :mjlol: CJ stroud already has 6 games with 300+ yards and he's carrying a less talented roster to the playoffs because he actually sees the field and delivers the ball on time.

This is the Quarterback Fields has shown to be till now. Solid not great.

Take, Caleb Williams who is a vastly superior talent and passer and could legit be the next superstar QB.

Even if he never lives up to expectations and is no better than Fields, you still reset the QB contract to a rookie one and you have tons of extra cap space for another 5 years at least. Get a 2nd round pick for Fields and a 4th.

They have to pay Fields all that money next year and he has an awful record and mediocre passing stats.

Great kid, but its the truth!
Actually, the emotional decision would be to say “he sucks, just take a better QB.” Anyone who watches the Bears knows he doesn’t suck. Even if Caleb is better, he’s not overcoming the coaching and roster flaws the Bears already. Mahomes is struggling without good receivers right now, so how would Mahomes-lite “save” the Bears with a worse team? Logic says you build a great roster with the dynamic QB you already have. The more fleshed out your team is, your QB will be looking like an MVP. Just ask Jalen Hurts and Brock Purdy.

Many felt Bryce Young was better than Fields last year. If you take Young last year, there’s no DJ Moore, no Darnell Wright and no Tyrique Stevenson on this team. You’d have a sucky offensive line and Young‘s best weapon being Darnell Mooney. The truth of the matter is, you just don’t know what you’d be getting with the first pick of the draft. Caleb is not even a sure thing. The top QBs haven’t even been #1 picks.

Some may feel Caleb has the higher ceiling, but if he is a bust? It would set the Bears back worse than it would if they kept Justin and traded down and acquired more talent to fill out the roster.

I've never seen so many people cape for a sorry QB before :laff:

If they make the same mistake again :laff:
At best he's a poor man's Hurts

I remember last year fellow Bear fans was saying, "not a QB rich draft" with CJ Stroud right there. Wishing we traded down, well we did and we're stuck in the exact same crap we had last year.

We have an unprecedented shot to finally get a great QB in Chicago. We better take our no. 1 pick and get the best QB in Chicago since Sid Luckman.

Justin Fields is NOT going to be great.

news flash, the Bears are already "set back" we aren't winning anything with Justin Fields at QB
