I think he wisely chooses roles that fits him as an actor,

Hell he worked well for the Matrix because he's perfect for that "wow, I don't know wtf is goin on" type of vibe he can give off. He didn't know wtf was going on in Point Break and it worked.

I disagree he is one of the best actors of his generation. His filmography is better than almost any other actor his age range except Leo. I mean the amount of straight up classics he has....

Matrix series, wick, dracula, point break, street kings , speed, chain reaction, CONSTANTINE, man of Thai chi , billandted, devil's advocate is one a goat movie and one of pachinos best performances

He has a who other fan base and market from all the successful romcoms he makes on the side when has not making action classics

If anything he is underrated, I 've also met him in person and he was very low key cool and humble not Hollywood at all

So it’s well known in the industry that he is one of the true “good guys” and writers/directors/producers prefer to work with him because of his attitude just as much, if not more, than because of his acting chops.

There are stories all over about how humble, friendly and easy to work with he is. If your making a movie and you think he could handle it, why would you go deal Christian Bale??

If your trying to make a drama, and need an A list actor to transform himself into the person, you ain't never gonna ask Keanu to the audition, regardless of how nice he is.
