While theyre a bunch of shill projects who just want to cash in, theyre are also ones who are pushing the boundary and creating the innovations of what nfts can do. Plenty of new industries had there doubters as well.

Utility for nft’s tickets, you can’t steal or scalp’em anymore if you don’t have proof of ownership on the blockchain

As far as video games and music in defi(decentralized finance) anything goes which what has governments around the world nervous. They can’t stop it they want to control it but don’t understand it. Axie infinity uses nft’s in their game. You can sell your characters etc. also you get royalties each time your nft is sold.

Without regulation NFTs will spiral out of control. A ledger that says you bought and own X is meaningless in the face of X possibly being created fraudulently also how does an NFT know if it was sold or transfered? What if people go outside any marketplace do the transaction then simply transfer the NFT?

The worst part is its a system built on top of cryptocurrency.

An hour and twenty nine minutes into that video. Hackers found Waka Flocka's wallet address inserted fake NFTs with malicious code in the smart contact. He didn't know and tried to delete them. The code executed and drained his wallet. Interaction with the items at all executes the code in the smart contract.
