What's perplexing to me is how he sometimes leans forward awkwardly and not have good arc on some of his shots but he makes them consistently regardless. I guess his focus, balance, after-the-jump adjustments are just on another level but it is just strange to me how good he is with those weird pull ups. That's just so against how jumpshots are taught - you're supposed to go straight up. Anyway Kawhi is 1b status to me right now. It's a real slim separation between him and Lebron.
I was watching this game with the homies (who only watch a handful of Spurs games), and they were all in disbelief at what he was doing -- not in the sense that they knew what he was capable of but still in awe, but in complete bewilderment. They thought it was just a fluke, little did they know he's be doing shyt like this for most of the season. His level of confidence between this Memphis series and the OKC series last postseason is night and day.
TA - Danny Green hasn't been shyt on the offensive end this season, but his ability to shoulder the majority of the defensive loadl, which has allowed Kawhi to conserve energy, focus and develop his offensive game has been vital for his progression this season.
Never saw no shyt like this before ever in regards to the NBA.

outside of spending 8 hours a day in the gym, a "fun night" for kawhi entails digiorno's pizza and jeffersons re-runs while his girl braids his hair. the man's whole aura is an enigma to me. i wouldn't be surprised if he continues to improve simply b/c of his lifestyle choices.

I was watching some film of him from his rookie year and there is not even a hint of the player he is now...all he did was guard wings and shoot corner 3's...
I mean in 20 minutes of film I didn't see him put the ball on the floor 10 times...and when he did it was horrendous...
This dude went from being a bad passer to a well above average passer in like 30 games...he was STRUGGLING getting rid of the ball when he started seeing those consistent double teams around the all star break...now he is finding the open man with ease...
Beyond his work ethic is IQ has to be out of this world...

at Kawhi who was still good but skinnier and way raw. I been watching dude all season and this dude has literally willed himself from a raw defensive specialist to a straight superstar that can be put on Lebron's level in terms of sheer impact.

Dude has almost no flaws in terms of his isolation game. He can get off his shot whenever he wants and he's able to square himself to the basket.
Dude reminds me of Embiid in the way they seem to grow exponentially on the court and absorb moves from other players into their game.
