He's been one of the best performers this season (and in general, a top-5 player), but he hasn't had the most impact - he doesn't have the role(s) and workload for starters. He's primarily used as the go-to option and provides M2M defensive stops when the teams needs them (his defense hasn't been a big part of his play over the last 2-3 years), but outside of that, he hasn't provided a great amount of impact.

While not a better player, PG has been more impactful this season.
I wish the mainstream would give PG more love he’s been insane this year

My fav player in the league. I see the similarities if we talking dominating as a wing on offense and defense simultaneously. Stylistically obviously they different. Truly enjoy watching Kawhi play tho.

wing with abnormally long arms and big hands :dame: that is a top 5 player on both ends of the court and who can takeover the game on either side of the game.

Only thing is MJ was on another level offensively and athletically. And Kawhi is the best player in the league currently IMO. MJ is the goat.

Not the passer MJ was tho but yea I get your point

No, he's not.
He is. Y'all talk about Jordan's midrange game but Kawhi has been shooting around 50% from midrange and particularly on long two's the last couple of seasons. Also, Jordan was obviously never the three point shooter that Kawhi is, and also Jordan never shot over 85% from the line, Kawhi has several times and has peaked at 88% so far in his career. Jordan is probably the better shooter off the dribble but don't sleep Kawhi is a knockdown dead-eye shooter and has been for years.

Kawhi mostly reminds me of Mike around '96-'98, because of those huge hands, still dominant despite losing athleticism after the injury, great in the post from both blocks Kawhi even has a little hook shot, dead eye midrange shooters, very little wasted dribbles they just get to their spots at will and work, defensive tenacity.

Kawhi is bigger than Jordan. His hands are even bigger, he's 6'7 235 lb., 7'3 wingspan which is one of the largest wingspan ratios in basketball history. Jordan is a lot more athletic and is a better playmaker than Kawhi.

It’s interesting I consider him one of the great ceiling raisers but not floor raisers. Like Kawhi takes a great team over the top. Similiar to KD Kobe and other elite play finishers but somebody like Bron Magic Shaq will instantly make your team a playoff team no matter the teammates. Not saying the others aren’t.

When he's right best player in the nba...

You can put your best defender on him and he will score 20 to 30 and he will score from the left block, right block, long 2's, 3's, freethrow line...won't even break a sweat and have your best defender in foul trouble..

On the other end of the court he can guard the other teams best player and wipe that dude completely out...if that best player is KD or Lebron he can make it hard on them...if that best player is chris paul or john wall or bradley beal or paul george, or jimmy butler, forget it I have seen Kawhi in his career make it seem like these dudes aren't even playing...i watched this dude make dame go stand in a corner and not even call for the ball in crunch time of a portland game...

Can't say that about anybody else...Bron is to old...AD gets to many nagging injuries to do it every night and I have seen LMA son him completely off the court multiple times...closes is KD but KD has no real post game and Kawhi post game is elite...

All he really needs is for one other person to not be trash every night and you can get to a conference finals with him...the year he got Zaza'd, during his playoff run virtually every player on the spurs was having career playoff lows...like it literally took manu into game 3 against the grizzlies to score his first basket of the series...LMA was out their getting sonned by Z-bo...Danny Green had one good game against Conley and then Conley spent the rest of the series having career playoff highs...but Tony Parker came alive and was averaging around 20 on over 50% shooting and that was all Kawhi needed to get them to WCF...so between Lowry, Ibaka, and Jonas...if just one of the three can not be terrible for their playoffs games...their going to be almost impossible to beat in the east...

The shocking thing to me is that he still hasn't looked as good in Toronto as he did at his peak with the Spurs...and even then Giannis is the only guy in the playoffs who will have any hope against Kawhi...and it wouldn't surprise me at all of Kawhi son him to Bolivia since Giannis can't consistently make a shot past his own standing reach...

Im thinking Lowry wont be enough help, Lowry hasn't been a good playoff performer, I dont think his game translates well.

I think Toronto should've traded for Jimmy instead of Philly, that wouldve been enough to separate them from everyone else in the east IMO

Steph might be the best player offensively but he isnt even top 100 on defense. Bron has slipped defensively. KD is better offensively but Kawhi is better defensively plus he is an alpha and not a bytch like kd
Yes, Kawhi is such an alpha that he sat out an entire season. And KD is a such a bytch that he wins back to back nba championships.

What you say makes no fukking sense :mjlol:
