If you view the run without randle as the basis for the team, the knicks swapped Hartenstein, DDV, and Randle for Mikal and Towns. No one wouldve believed that to even be a possibility at the deadline last year. Theres no question the knicks won on the talent side of the trade.

This is the kind of trade you do when you look at players on paper and not how they perform in the playoffs.

KAT in the playoffs dealing with the ruthless NY fans and media is gonna be comedy.
KAT was 18 and 9 vs the nuggets alone. 51%fg 39% 3fg.

Randle has played like shyt in the playoffs

They can't pay Randle after this season. And they are not winning championship anyway. They are left wit Donte only from this trade return for the 2025-26 season

Was this trade just made so they can pay Naz Reid later?

I don’t see the vision for the T-Wolves at all here. Maybe I’m wilding but Randle doesn’t seem like a fit in the slightest

Looks like the T Wolves wanted someone who is a better shot creator for themselves and can spell Anthony Edwards from trying to start the offense every single time down the floor. KAT is just not as good at creating his own offense as Randle can. And Randle is better in the paint with scoring in the post and rebounding
And it looks like they are envisioning a Randle-Naz Reid lineup with 2 physical bigs who can shoot and rebound

For the Knicks, KAT is an elite off ball offensive player with spot up shooting, pick and pop, cutting to the basket, etc. It would take alot of attention off of Brunson, and give him the space to operate because teams are scared to leave KAT open. Looks like they want another Porzingis on the Celtics

Neither player is amazing defensively, so it's a wash on both sides :yeshrug:

I feel like we need to revisit the Porzingis trade. :patrice: I’m seeing thr same contrarian, overthinking, conservative scary ass takes. Yea we kept the file…

Dumb move for all teams involved except Washington

KP doesn’t solve Boston’s issues
(no PG, no creators on offense)

One of the first posts in the thread and it got 20 daps :beli:

BOSTON ALREADY HAS
2 CENTERS WHO PLAY GREAT D
AND ONE CAN MAKE 3S....

PORZINGIS CANT PLAY D ANYMORE
AND IS OVERPAID.

i honestly dont know if towns can survive new york :mjlol:
This! Surprised so many Knick brehs are on board with this deal. It has nothing to do with KAT's skillset. No way he is built for the NYC spotlight. Nothing about his game aligns with the tough brand of basketball the Knicks are aligned with. 7 feet of sucka. Divencenzo balled out in the playoffs. Terrible deal for the Knicks :scust:
