It's funny how nikkas reputations get rehabilitated after a trade.... Just 5 months ago nikkas were ruthlessly mocking Kat for his softness and inability to perform in the highest level moments during the playoffs....but now after a trade..he's the Knicks missing piece :mjlol:
nikka is still soft as fukk.

He'd better take on the Knicks identity because...:beli:

Nah Knicks won this trade. Not by far, but still the W

Randle sucks even more than KAT in the playoffs. Two very disappointing trips and completely missed on this year. And he's an expiring deal who won't be back in NY for 2025-26 season because they couldn't afford to pay him.

So what they traded is one year rental of Randle and added Donte as well who won't be getting as many minutes as he'd like.

Plus KAT can play some minutes as a center even though his defense is bad. With Hartenstein let go for nothing and Robinson always staying injured, they clearly needed someone at that position. Sims should not be having NBA minutes lol.

Typically a players prime is 27-29 and it’s often the age where the greats win their first ring because by then the team is built around them, their experience level has increased, their basketball iq is at the best, and most importantly if they hadn’t been hurt their bodies are at the best with the experience of getting through multiple NBA seasons. Plus these guys went to college together so it helps with continuity. They getting rid of Julius who was very temperamental

Kat is 28
Jalen is 28
OG is 28
Mikal is 28
Josh Hart is 29
Shamet is 27
Cam Payne is 30

The rest of the team is younger so that means these guys have a four year window to win a ring plus factor in their competition like the Sixers who are lead by Embid who is always hurt that means they at least top three on paper in league where it’s been six seasons since the champs repeated

On the Wolves side this is how you reload in the NBA you trade your allstar once you have one that’s younger producing at the same level which gives you flexibility to build around them in time to compete when they enter their prime if you can win before then even better.

So if the Knicks don’t win a title they p*ssy ain’t nothing else

While some of this is true, Minnesota traded KAT because they just didn't want to pay him. Randle is going to be gone Summer 2025. That's a terrible reload.

I can see Ant leaving lol. this team is gonna be miserable for him unless Naz becomes a all star.

He signed an extension in August that’s has him with the Wolves until 2029 making an average of 48,924,624 plus Adidas and him have a new deal that pays him eight million a year.

If he stays at the same level he’s going to make so much money if he increases and gets better let’s say to MVP level (he’s already a two time all star its not impossible he could) plus with the new TV money coming in next contract could be double everything 500 million for 5 years making an average of 98

Minnesota is going to be in Tax hell. Julius will be moved again I do believe because it looks like the team is going to be built around Ant and Naz Reid they can build out the team.

Another important thing is that the owenership is in flux so who is going to pay the luxury tax bill but the team itself should still be solid enough to make playoffs without the play in.
