That shyt don’t even matter anymore . KAT has been viewed thru the lens of a #1 option, then a #2 option. And the microscope that comes with that. For this team he can be a 2nd option, but they don’t even need that. He can be not only a 3rd but a FOURTH option, and still help them reach their peak.

When you take high level talented players and ask them to do less, magic happens. Jrue from being the man in New Orleans to elite role player in Boston and Milwaukee. Lamar Odom from the man on the clippers/heat to X factor in LA. Iguodala from star in Philly to deluxe role player in GS. Aaron Gordon from Orlando to Denver Etc etc

You think KAT is gonna be a lesser scoring option than Mikal Bridges or OG? :dwillhuh:

I mean I get your sentiment about having to do less but I’m not sure if that applies here

Man, bittersweet. I love KAT as a person and even though his play can be really infuriating, he is fun to watch and he does care. But I think last year was kind of a fluke run for the Wolves and the front office decided to make a move now instead of running it back and pretending that was good enough. The only improvement the Wolves made to the roster was adding a 160 pound rookie and with this 2nd apron, they weren't gonna do shyt with their big 3 as constructed. Especially after paying Jaden and Naz with Ant.

I'm guessing they roll this year with this team and pretend to compete as best as they can but Randle and/or Gobert could be moved by the deadline or over the summer for picks back and the Wolves just build around their young 3 they paid. Get everyone back on the same tjmeline and wait for Ant to request a trade :mjcry:

I don't know why cats are bringing KAT's inhibitions for. This is the best squad they'll have for some damn time. If this can't put them over the top, than it was never meant to be.

As soft as he is, they've got more than enough hard-nosed players to compensate for him.

Getting rid of Randle was addition by subtraction, and this just gives them much greater versatility and strength in the frontcourt (which was clearly their weak link last season).

yea homie bugging. KAT is the clear #2 on this team. Mikal nor OG are big offensive players.
Losing Divencenzo hurts too.

In what world would he be a 4th option for the Knicks?
OG will never be above KAT in the pecking order
And I doubt Bridges will be either, KAT is a flat out better more proven offensive player than either of those guys, he will be getting the ball a lot

‘Noooo, don’t mess up the viiiiibe’

That’s the same thing nggas was saying when Boston traded Marcus smart :umad:

That ’intangible’ shyt is needed, but to an extent. The super team model doesn’t work when you have to gut your team. That’s not what happens with Boston and it ain’t happen here. How many role players do you need?! Josh Hart, kills bridges, OG. If you made a list of best 3&D Swiss Army knife intangible players all 3 would be on it. So they have more than enough ‘soul’ and dirty work etc. This was highway robbery …just like Boston getting Porzingis

Truth is this trade actually puts OG in his correct position as a 4th option...hes paid so he wont bytch about it but you dont want OG any higher than that in the pecking order ....Alot of Raptor problem the last 3 years a big one was trying to force Anunoby to be higher in that order than he should have been...
