I can see it - album was :ld: to me outside of 'Bonjour' and 'Adam and Eve'.

Beats had big "Yo - Madlib - can I copy your homework? I'll change it just enough that I won't get caught" vibes to them too :ehh:

Confirms what we knew. The album sounds way off and was clearly rushed vocally and mix wise. Right down to Mike Dean half ass mixing it the morning it was scheduled for release. There are a couple good songs on there but overall it's not a good project largely due to Kanye, not Nas. Nas didn't magically forget how to rap on beat.

The craft of the Pusha album made it even more frustrating. That sounded like it was in production for more than a week whereas Nas got like 3-4 days or something. Over beats that didn't really fit him either.

Anything said about the Madlib beats for the album that the kewn allegedly sharked and tried to pass off as his own?

Outside of the rumour that Bandana was made up of Madlib beats that Kanye rejected, before this came out

and then damn near the same beat was on Gibbs' album?

Nah :skip:
