The year 3030
overall, a pretty good interview. Ye was able to just talk and nore wasn't as obnoxious (that part when he said make some noise for Sean being terrible was :russ: though cause nore don't be listening to whatever they say)

Ye seems like he's in a good space now

Yeah that was some hoe shyt. And then he went in to say some shyt like "Look where I am and look where he is."

Blaze is a DJ and a producer and that's what he wants to do. What's wrong with that?

I think he’s lowkey jealous of Just. Probably still holding on to animosity from when Just was in his prime. But I definitely wasn’t feeling that or any of the other snippets of the interview I saw. I can definitely understand why people choose to handle him with a long handle spoon.

This was a great interview. Don't agree with everything he said, but at least we're seeing a dude get up there and be unapologetically himself. The one thing I don't like is how he romanticizes these Euro designers. I get that he likes fashion, but you can tell he places it higher in terms of cultural hierarchy than rapping. He even likened being called a "rapper" to being called the N word even though he referred to himself as a rapper multiple times in the interview lol

He did distinguish and say when WHITE PEOPLE say the word rapper they mean ******. He wasn’t referring to the term itself

So your Kanye West about to put out your first album and you put somebody you wholeheartedly feel in your heart and soul is WACK on the album??!?! Does that make sense? Does that sound like “visionary perfectionist” Kanye West to you?

And how could Black Star be one of the greatest albums all of time if a wack MC is literally 50% of the album?!?! Again that makes no sense.

Kanye was straight up capin. Say what you will about Talib Kweli but him being a wack MC isn’t one of those things. And Kanye is ON WAX thanking him personally for inspiring his OWN craftsmanship.

You gave your thoughts and I Piggy backed off yours to give mine, truth be told it's 2 sides of the story and we are outside looking in and we giving our opinions. Ye and Talib is the only one that knows, we heard Ye say what he say so we can wait for Ye.

When you think of Black Star album everyone talks about Most Def and The Production, Talib is an after thought, come man this ain't the first time you hear this what Kanye was saying. shyt the cats from Freestyle Fellowship said the something that It was Mos Def and The Production that made Black Star great and Talib Kweli benefited from it, I heard this on Message boards ect

2 Live Crew have 2 classic albums, that should answer your question

I don't think he was straight up calling talib wack, I think he was just saying he's nowhere good as Common (which I disagree with)

Like breh said he later clarified and said Black Star was great

Wasn't Ye supposed to do a 7 track joint with Kweli back in 2018? I think Kanye was hurt by Talibs comments about him. Might've felt betrayed so he was in his feelings when asked about him. Common and Push didn't agree with the MAGA shyt either but were more brief with their opinion

He straight up said “I never really liked Talib as a rapper”.

Which is bullshyt considering he had him on his oh so important DEBUT album and then specifically called him an artistic inspiration on that very same album
